We've got a few folks on this forum with those same symptoms.
They say dogs take on the attributes and attitudes of their owners................Heck, all mine wants to do is lay on the couch, have his belly rubbed and sleep.
ES, keep him for awhile. My bet is he loves you plenty. They'll keep makin SDS7's,and it sounds like you got a one of a kind.

I like my HDS better though.

cover the kennel completely with towels at bed time and put a wind up clock that tics in there with it. the louder the tic the better. watch it every second it is out of the kennel and take it out side every 15-30 minutes. soon it will learn what going outside means and will probably start going to the door when it needs to.

Go by Wally world and get a bottle of sour apple spray. It's in the pet section. Spray it on the things she is chewing on and it will stop. Works good on furniture and plants.
TOLD YA TO GET A LAB!!!!!!! Our little dog was a pain to train and I hope I never have to go thru that again. Lab never messed or peed in the house period from day one. Best's dog I have ever had and will have another in 3 or 4 years when she starts approaching 10 or so.
If the money's rite, I'll take her but you are gonna have to cover my gas to boot. Ree has a snake that would love to invite it to dinner.Hands Clapping
I do prefer to go outside myself.Actually she didn't have any accidents all day yesterday. Mighty proud of her for that. But I haven't gotten much sleep at all the last couple of nights
I bought some spray at wally world. You are supposed to spray the grass whenever you want her to go. I guess the stuff actually works. She goes within 30 seconds after sniffing it
