Group 31's either Interstate or Trojans
Lots of different opinions on batteries. I like the Interstates. You gonna LOVE that I-pilot.Thumbs Up
"G" knows what he's talking about when it comes to batteries.
I've got an 1860 F&F. I know this question may be a little hard to answer but on average about how long could I expect to be able to pull cranks with the Trojans. I know several variables come into play here but I was just curious what u guys think.
I am using Group 31 Interstates and I have a XV180 SeaArk....which is 18 ft. long and very wide.....I can pull cranks with my 80 lb. thrust Terrova at 1.8 mph all day and still have battery left.
Awesome. That is they reply I was hoping for. I probably won't buy the batteries until early next spring but I want to have the extra cash ready then. Trolling motor and 3 bank charger are arriving tomorrow so I'm all excited like it's Christmas.
All group 31's are not alike....get the ones with the highest reserve amp/hr rating
Delco Voyger 29's!!!
GOLF CART 12 VOLTS ARE THE CATS MEOW!!!!!!!!!!Thumbs Up
I think Doublegobble00 has done the most reasearch of anybody on batteries, I would send him a PM.
That's where I got my info from, ended up getting the USABattery brand. They have a little more in the specs department but not much. I cranked at Sardis when we had fall camp in that wind for 6 hours solid and had juice to spare. 18ft glass boat with a 200 Merc on it, 55 pound thrust Minn Kota with two batteries in series. I have been nuttin but happy with em, wont be anything else in my boat for now.
Trojan T 1275s or the ones ree guide got... They have highest reserve value I have seen in 12 volt battery
Yeah, i want to get me a big boy trolling motor but long as this one is pulling the way it is it gets to keep its seat in the boat. If I add a "kicker" trolling motor on the back I can pull cranks all day litterally. Just cant justify the other trolling motor just yet. Wouldn't mind finding me a hull to put my merc on tho.Thumbs Up
I've yet to pull the US batteries even close to down with my 80lb Terrova. Don't have exact scientific data though. LOL
Since they're made in Mexico now they have that problem. You will need your proof of purchase, or the Manufacture Date on the battery, and take it to any Interstate Battery warehouse. They should warranty it.
There's an Interstate Battery in Memphis.
Yea, I think it's 24 months. If I remember, I'll call em tomorrow.
Leave me your # BRM and I will give u a call tomorrow.
i like trojan--but am using stinger now (marine type) These things are great--they were set up for 2 years--not being charged--still had a charge in them--took 2 days to fully charge--and have been using them ever since (24v trolling motor system) and that terrova will be easy on the batteries. I just changed to the powerdrive v2 70lb thrust and with three days of light trolling (just positioning the bow while floating).
