Got everything with farm bureau. Dumped my boat on the ramp on it's first trip out . Was only out $250
State Farm, everything. If you are a vet., USAA is the way to go.
So purty much all the major companies are represented. K thanks. I'll just check em all. My auto is with progressive, so I figure I should get a multi policy discount. My home owners is with State Farm. Might get a discount with them.
Usaa
I had Farm Bureau but when I bought the new boat, Progressive beat them and was replacement coverage not ACV. Still have Farm Bureau for home and auto. They are the best in those two markets for cost of coverage and claims. I haven't had to file a claim on Progressive, and hope I don't. Friend of mine did file a claim after hitting a stump and Progressive didn't bat an eye and paid the $3,250 to fix his motor quickly.
State Farm
Allstate
Got my boat with Nationwide...had my house and all cars w/them for 16years, then last year Metlife offered same coverage on house and cars(wouldn't insure boat cause it wuz 10yrs old) for less than 1/2 what nationwide was charging. The very first day my cars and house switched to them, lighting hit my house and did $17000 worth of damage...split main beam ruin appliances etc.....had to "hold my own" a little with them, but long story short they paid for everything. Only had one wreck w/ Nationwide years ago and had to get a lawyer to write a letter for them to stand behind my uninsured motor coverage. My policy w/ Nationwide was grandfathered off my parents, at the time, 5 houses, 9 cars, 3 boats showed between us all , my parents have had that policy for over 25 years and Nationwide still gave us me grief over the truck(and that was the first claim EVER)
... No complaints w/ Metlife.
State farm here. Everything cept our house
Shelter Insurance. Bundle your house, cars, and boats for better discounts. When you have a claim, try to deal with your agent, not the adjuster. Last claim I had was hail damage to Barbie's car. Adjuster and his supervisor authorized $300, agent got it raised to $2500. Agents have incentives to make you happy; commissions. Adjusters have incentives to keep lowball your claim; performance bonuses.
My boat isnt insured but if it was I'd probably be with Progressive since everything else I own is with them.
My ALFA agent has his boat with Progressive.
House, vehicles, boat, business liability all through State Farm.
Farm Bureau on my boat
State farm
State Farm for years. Now I'm with Progressive.

I think he said the first day his new metlife coverage took hold is when the lightening hit."
Yes, it was the first day it took hold. I'm not the type to take a check based on the insurance adjusters opinion alone, that's like having a used car dealers mechanic tell you the cars in good shape.
I had a structural engineer come in document required repairs as it broke main beam.... Word to the wise says don't take the insurance first offer...they are in business for a reason...they low ball first. Make sure you get what you pay for in coverage:)
