Well fellas, I bit the bullet and 4 of us are going to St. Louis tonigt for Game 1 of the World Series. This will be a first for all of us and we are stoked. This is gonna be awesome for sure. Lets all pull for the Redbirds in their quest for their 11th WORLD SERIES RING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man I love this time of year, Cards in the playoffs and the ducks are startinhg to fly, it dont get any better.

Well now that its been established that I am not a black cat, Team Double D is seeking donations to go to the rest of the games to bring the Cards even more good luck. Man, I wish now I would've gone in 2004 and 1985. Danny and I live by the motto that no contribution is too big or too small. We do accept personel checks. It was a great game for sure. We sat up top down the right field line with a very stiff north wind and a light drizzle. BBBRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Man I hope your right. It would be sweetttttttttttt to see the Cards sweep 'em. Last nite was just checking one off the bucket list. It hurt alittle but they all do.
Not a big Cards fan, but I'm a dex fan for sure. That had to be a special event, and some teams only get to have it once in a lifetime. Congrats on the win Dex!

Well now that no one decided to chip in and send Team Double D back to St. Louis for Game 2 and will them to victory, you see what happens. Do I see bus tickets to Arlington headed my way? Now that I officially have 1 fan, the sky's the limit. Hogster, I will check them off a little faster as the donations come in. That big waterfowl hunt in Canada aint gonna come cheap. I shouldn't get that into it, but I do. I have walked around all day in a depressed state over having game two slip from our hands. Oh, well you have to be able to win on the road anyway.
Same here. On a bright note though, Cards pitching has silenced their bats pretty much. I think Tony may have out smarted himself and I agree with the sports casters, he should have let Motte pitch to Hamilton. Oh well, it will just take one extra game to finish off the Rangers.Quote:

LOL Dex. I did go to a Royals game this year. Just Can't imagine a pro sporting event affecting a fans day. A day fishing with your Dad would cheer most anyone up.

Frosty, you are the man. Well guys, since no one woukd chip in and send Team Double D to Arlington tonite, we did the next best thing. I had my dad (the original Double D) call his brother (another Double D) and send his sons (also Double D's) to the game. They are from Ft. Worth. Now it took some serious bartering to get my mojo to them boys but man did it pay off in a big way. Looks like me and Danny may be the official good luck charms for the Redbirds. Monty I promised them boys you'd take them fishing so dont let me down. EL HOMBRE is the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thumbs Up
