Torch, you gonna upgrade??????
Dats a biggen Ranger 2004 522DVX
that's a pretty dang good deal!
you go big boy
G3 proud of you, thats a great boat and a great price.
That boy ain't gonna spend no 18K for a boat. He what they call a light weight.
Before ya'll go stroking checks, that's not a 250 Pro XS, it's a 250 XS. Difference is the XS was the first series of Optimax technologie put out by the racing division of Mercury. Brand new, they came with only a 1 year warranty. The Optimax from the Marine side of Mercury came with a 2 year.....ought to give you an indiation of how well they expect them to hold together.....but aside from that........the 250 XS takes premium fuel ONLY. Ouch!!!!!!! Lets see....22' 65,300 lb boat times 70 mph divided by 250 HP multiplied by Premium fuel equals a repower to a 50 HP Yammie 4 stroke within 6 months. Hehehehehe
Actually, Merc shorts the warranty on all Racing division motors, but they do hold up very well. Also that one's been rebuilt and has a one year warranty, so I wouldn't let that scare you. On top of that, that's as fine of a fishing platform as can be had (except for the stepit dual console) and a heck of a price especially considering the warranty on the motor.
Now....if you'll look past that janky Ranger to the Jaguar....now we talkin'.

Andy if you get that boat you gonna change your name to Ranger Troller???? Clean looking boat though!!!
You won't find a Jaguar for $18,000. I've been looking.
Man, that's a huge boat right there. 22 footer? Good grief man. Questions about Rangers, how shallow of water can one that size run in? What about handling while spider rigging? Getting around in a stump field?
There is no better crappie boat than a 522! It handles the wind better than any boat I have fished out of.
Know they sit low in the water so less wind resistance and getting pushed around. That's the ONLY bad thing about my boat. Sits so high the wind catches it. I was just thinking with a 22 foot boat it'd be tough getting around in stumps and such. Guess they don't draft much either
I'm thinking, sell the merc and buy the New 16k dolla Yammaha SHO that is for sale on the Knoxville Craigslist.
Hey Holic he has a CLEAN pantera III for cheap
Hollic, I'll sell you this one for $18K. Heck, for another $500, I'll deliver.
Bass Cat 2001 JAGUAR
So, just how big a feller are you anyhow?
DD, a 522 will draft slightly less than your boat now at rest and on pad, I'd guess about 6" less. It's a big boat. 21' 10" and I think the beam is 96", so fishing tight timber would be rough. Doubt you'd see many over on Columbus for that reason...But Ross Barnett, Grenada, Enid, Sardis they'd be king except in the spring.

Before ya sign that check, better look at the DD duct tape in the driver seat. Hmmmmmm!!! Nice boat though.
Looks like the perfect boat for DD. Already comes standard with the duct tape!!! LOL
I have a BC with D/C now. Won't own another.
I don't have a B/C with D/C now, but won't own one neither. I do know where some sub 18K Jaguars and Cougars are though if you're really interested.
Dual consoles are for motards.....wait.....I meant people who run double consoles are motar.......what I really mean is people who run double consoles and like it are motards.

Thanks WB . Wasnt sure. Think mine drafts only 12 inches being a bay boat
As long as we're day dreaming about boats we want with money we don't have.......
How about a 2000 Ranger 518VX with 200 Optimax for $10,500. 19', 91" beam. A single console beauty sitting on a dashing dual axle trailer dressed with fiberglass fenders.

If we dreamin...why not dream bout a shiny new Z21 Intracoastal...motard!!!!
What kind of interest rate you got on used boats?
Oh we got 'em, just no good ones. :)

Why you want a intracoastal? You want sand and grit blowing in your face?
You know what your problem is Feelay? You want an Intercoastal for 11K within 45 miles of ya.
But just cause I'm partial to minnow fishermen:

Just asked for a quote on the Jaguar. They take trade-ins. Maj. needs the Jaguar.
Fresh sashimi at my house Saturday night!
Hmmmm, OK, 25K in Miami is a bit steep and a bit far.
How about a Ranger 99 R91 Intracoastal, single console, 200 EFI, single axle trailer in Gainesville for $9,500?
