A few gooduns from Dardanelle today
I hit the water about 8:00 AM and got to my spot and started to sit down. I noticed I had no seat. So I loaded back up and decided to forget it when I remembered my friend lived a couple miles away so I got into his shop and took a seat off of his G3. The last trip, I got on the water and realized I had forgotten my depth finder, so I went to my friends house and got his G3 boat and took it. The time before that, I let out my trolling motor and it would not turn. Battery was dead as a hammer, so, I went to my friends and got his G3 again. Friends are great to have around.
After about 30 minutes with no bite, I decided to take off the baits that had been working so well and downsized from a 3/16 to a 1/16th and slid on my old faithful blue and pearl slab bandit and that did the trick. I caught 19 good keepers in the next 90 minutes and culled 10 keepers. I have recently been fishing in the main lake just off the Dardanelle State Park on the Russellville side where there are some submerged creeks. On the way home I dropped off a few to an old life long fishing buddy that is having health problems and can't fish but still knows how to fillet and eat them. I love days like this.
These are for ole Don untill he has better days.
