see us name this organization. Have a name we can go by and refer to other than C.C or C.C fruit jars. Maybe something like I-55 Fruit Jar Trail, Central MS FJ Tournament Trail. There's got to be somebody on here that has good mind for catchy names.:confused::confused::confused:

I think its who we are as well, CRAPPIE.COM is the reason I am in these FJ's. At this point I am gonna fish with you clowns no matter what we call it but CRAPPIE.COM is definetely who we are.

Actually....I've always wondered if Slab objected to us referencing C.C in the title. Seems if we haul off and do sump'n ignernt whether on accident or on purpose, it could reflect negatively on him and the site. We have no claim nor right to the C.C part of it.
Ain't opposed to it and probably is for the best.

AMEN Rees. This ain't some huge Tourney circuit, We're just a bunch of guys that like to fish and these tourneys are more about getting together, having fun and IF you get lucky, winning a few bucks on occasion.
Having said that....it's up the committee on whether to formally name it and what that name should be.

If you use C.C in the name, Slab could be held liable if somebody screwed up. Rees, you are here to talk about crappie fishing and WB's pertty hair. The fruit jars than alone.

CDC members are the basis of all the tourney guys. It started here. Sure, anyone can fish it but it's CDC Based. Least that's where I met almost EVERY single one of you guys. Without CDC, there wouldn't be any of these tourneys

I had the same concerns when we were ordering shirts. I asked Ed if he would be OK with us using Crappie.com on the shirts. He gave me his blessing and said he considered it great advertising for the site.

So are the fruit jars, can't see Sir Slab, part of my punishment is I have to call him Sir, having a problem with but if he does that's cool. If he doesn't I say Crappie.com is a main part of the name.

To answer ATM's comment, you are right. I've always advocated letting everyone have a say in what goes down. Members or fishermen should have the right to express their opinions and the committee should act accordingly. When I was president of MCC, I handed out a list of lakes on 1 side and dates on the other. Everyone got a list. Since we fished 9 tournaments, you had 9 X's to mark with. After they were turned in, I counted and tallied them up. The board took the results and figured out a schedule and it worked out pretty good. The bottom line was that everybody had a say in it.
Now Mr. Speck's comment. If you put C.C in the name, you must use it when registering a tournament. At this point, Crappie.Com becomes liable if something happens. Now if a name is agreed upon, Slab would be more than welcome to come up with a design for hats, shirts, etc and put C.C on them somewhere for advertising. Wearing a shirt with C.C doesn't make Slab liable for anything but having his name in the club name does. I ran into this a million times when I worked for my father in the beer business.

ATM, that's why we elect officers and then, just for instance, I'm the lake Master, I ask on the board about lakes, come up with a schedule and then we all have a say so in it. Been working good and everyone has a say so in it. Everyone won't be happy with anything that anyone does, but the idea is to find a happy medium where the most folks are happy with everything. Democracy at it's finest. BTW, what does Missouri call their Fruit jars? I see they have Tourneys as well

IMO, Crappie.com FJ's name itself is what brings us together for this style of fishing. A lot of guys like to participate in this level of fishing without the pressure associated with "tournament fishing". I know some on here take it more serious than others, and I do to at times, but I think a little friendly competition at this level is what Crappie.com is all about and should remain so.
