Here's a light comparison between the 612 & the 712. Both excellent lights. The new 712 gives a mushroom of light about 30' If you night fish at all, get yourself one of these Reel lites. Check them out at www.reel-lites.com [email protected]

147 amps..........wow!
I don't see a meter dot, but .147 sounds good for LED DIODE array.
forgot to mention thats is my job for the last 38years of voltage, current, and amp draw!!!AC and DC
For the money, service, and dependability, you can't go wrong with these lights. Not only that, but Bob #1 will treat you right, he's a fair and honest man.
I can't tell you about meter readings and such. I can only tell you I have one for bank fishing and it draws the minnows in pretty well. I am enjoying mine. I loved it so much I told my pastor about them.
I usta know about amps and stuff, but now I am on the government dole. Much easier.

And he sent two videos to prove it with the 102 led as a night light

Bob,
Nice looking product and using LEDs are the best option out there. I have a question: are the LEDs colored or is it just the acrylic tubing?
Tried to find colored bulbs and they are not affordable the price range is upwards of $25 plus which would make a light selling for $200 plus. Also they do not project the light as much as clear bulbs (NOT STRIP LIGHTS) actual bulbsThumbs Up
Use to build the lights with soft colored plastic..........have gone to a super hard acrylic tubing, that makes a nice light that can take a beating
It is so hard, tried to run the car over it (OPPS) not that hardDohRofl
Anyway you get the idea:cool:
Thanks for the info there Bob. I have played around with LEDs in the past and you are right about the cost of the colored ones. I believe that they also do not normally have the same life span as the white ones either (not that a whole lot us old farts would out live one of your lights). I imagine you can get a more consistent color using the colored acrylic as I saw variations in color from the cheaper green and blue LEDs I used.
I have the plastic 612 and the acrylic 712 , there's a big difference between them, the 712 is smaller in diameter and much harder than the plastic. Anyone that buys a light like this should take care of it like a good rod & reel, but if you happen to step on the 712, I don't think it would hurt it any..
