After much deliberation, I've decided

to ban myself. This will be my last post for a while. It was great being around all of y'all at the buffay and tourney this weekend and I can assure you this has nuthin to do with anyone that was there. Heck, I even enjoyed feshin with Holic and would fesh with him anytime.

Also, Congrats Duck and Papermouth.

Well, it's kinda like this: Minner and I were prefishing Thursday afternoon for the big C.C Finals. We fished several different spots after putting in at Choctaw Landing. After fishing around for 3-4 hours, Minner wanted to go to one spot before it got dark. Fine by me. We take off up the Skuna side and minner is looking for the ideal spot. He kept saying something about Andy said to look for ???. Well, after riding about 15 minutes, he finally spotted the spot. Only thing wrong was that the water had dropped 5 feet. Well, we trolled around for a while and caught a bunch of dinks. I think we both agreed at the same time that we needed to go. It was getting DARK real fast. Problem was that there was bad cloud coming and that made it darker. After getting everything put in it's place, we headed back to the truck. I floored it and headed out to the middle of the lake so we wouldn't hit bottom or a sand bar. I never was worried about stumps but evidently minner was. I have hand prints in the side rail on my boat. Well, we get the boat on plane and we're clicking about 55 mph and it's getting darker by the minute. After about 5-10 minutes, Minner turns to me and says "you see them stumps?" I said "yes, but they beside us, not in front of us." I don't slow down. After seeing the stumps getting heavier, I slowed down to about 25-30 mph. Still Minner's hanging on for dear life. We keep looking for Choctaw Landing. Now, remember this, I've been fishing Grenada Lake for 50 years and 30 years on a regular basis. I know where Carver Point is and I know where Gray's Port is and I darn sure know where the Gray's Port Bridge is. Minner pulls out his trusty Apple I-phone and goes to his "new" Navionics app. He finds Choctaw Landing and it tells him that Choctaw is next to Wolf creek. OK, here we go. The only thing that that app had right was it was on the North side of the lake. Folks, he had me going and going and going some more. I told him that Choctaw was just around the corner from Carver Point. We get out the spot light that's almost as old as he is and it's hard to see anything but when I could read the car tag number, I knew we had gone far enough. I turned around started working our way back west. My search light was being handled by the infamous MinnerMan. After another 30 minutes, we FINALLY found Choctaw Landing. Folks, there ain't the first light no where to be found on that landing. It's the CORP'S fault. Now back to the stumps. He kept asking me if I saw the stumps and finally I said "Minner, I see the stumps on each side and they ain't bothering me, it's ones in front that I don't won't to see. Anyway, we made it back to the landing with everything we left with and no problems. I had more fun listening to MInner squealing.

the difference in wolf to choctaw on grenada is like engineers point to holiday lodge on sardis...............how can a navionics map be that far off, regardless of the cost? did the navionics map show wolf on the north side of the lake?

I ain't been fishing even close to 30 years at Grenada, but I think I could find Choctaw in the dark without a problem. Darn sure ain't nowhere close to wolf!

I think we're getting off subject here. The point of this thread is to figure out why Minner is self exhiling himself and take that lesson and apply it to DonDon.
