Looks good!!!!!!!! That hackle will pulse when retreiving it
Cool looking jig.Thumbs Up I think you have a winner.:)
Looks good and should catch some crappie for you.
Good job,
Skip
Nice Gator! That with a pink head is one of my long time favorites!
Thanks guys!
I thought I would try some in 1/32 instead of the 1/16 normal stuff. Being a "woolly" and lighter I'm thinking it will float down giving a better chance of hitting on the fall. Also, being lighter I may pull out one of my fly rods and try that.
Skip, do you ever tie a regular woolly bugger and use a little lead wire instead of a jig head? Just a thought...
That is one great looking jig. Wish I could get my hands on some of those for trout.
Nice jig. That will catch you a lot of fish.Thumbs Up
NICE 1 gatorbait is that like the 1 in last months swap?
Blue Gill will love that.
Very nice
We all warned you about becoming addicted...lol. Thumbs Up

I was born an addict. Although dad never showed signs, his dad was heavily afflicted. After retiring from the music business, he and grandma built a small motel at Roaring River State Park in MO. There is a rainbow trout hatchery there and they stock the river most every day during season. As a side business to the motel he tied trout flys. He kept it up after they sold the motel and built a house in town (Cassville) and even for several years after they moved to Fresno CA. I can remember as a child watching baseball on TV while he tied trout flys...and grandma would bring us root beer floats at the 7th inning. So it's been passed down.
I don't know what happened to his vise, but I have a tackle box full of things he tied. A lot of woolly buggers in a rainbow of colors and a bunch of other stuff. Somewhere I have a couple of tapered leaders he made wrapped in clear plastic on a white card with his stamp on it. It said Batten Motel, had the address, and a 5 or 6 digit phone number.
OK...I'm rambling now. But it's funny how things we take for granted when we are young come to mean a lot as we age. One of my grandkids is 13 now and I took some stuff to Pensacola a month or two ago. Showed him how a jig was made and gave it to him. He and my son-in-law were somewhat interested. I'll do it again and see if there is a spark there worth getting him some equipment and teaching him.
I also have grandpa's two bamboo fly rods as well as dad's and mine (ours are fiberglass I think) and my two graphite ones now. Does that mean I'm addicted???
Gator your addicted. I have a post coming out tomarrow about my foster son's tying got to get the pictures on the jigs he has done. Good kid and getting better by the day. With Pops help he will be in your shoes shortly.
BTW The jig you tied. Nicely Done.
