What type and length poles do you prefer for spider rigging?
Long as you can handle, get them away from the boat.
Everyone has their own preference but we use 14' Bass Pro Shops trolling rods.
Use all 12 footers

I like 12s also. They're not as hard to get a fish in. If I was fishing clear water, 16s would probably catch more fish.
16's
14' Capps & Coleman
16's
13's here
14 footers
12ft BnM PST
3 ft Dora Explorers
14' C&C's
Was using 14's but lately been using 16's & 18's and starting to like them better. I am liking the baitcaster reels better than spinning reels to help with managing the fish when using less line then the length of the pole. Easier to get enough line out to get the net under them. (at least I hope I need the net!!!)Rofl
14's with jigs - 16's with minners - baitcasters on both
14ft B&M PST's
14ft c&c
16' Cane Pole with a spinning reel taped on em.
Thanks for the input guys.
Where is the most reasonably priced poles to get?
I like 14' PST's from B&M.
14' Capps and Colemans. BGJPs are very close to the same, but a little less expensive. PSTs if you need one rod to do everything - ie cranks, slow trolling etc.
Don't forget about Ricky at the Crappie Hot Spot. He has done several of us some good deals.
