When you know that Crappie Fishing is in your blood! JOIN IN!

Going to start this thread and would like to invite everyone to add some thing to it! Kind of like one of those Jeff Foxworthy Redneck lists! And most of the below info is true!

1. When your 600 miles from home and your wife calls and reads you the fishing reports from CDC as your working!

2. When all your friends only text you pictures of all the Crappie they caught and never any nude pictures!

3. When before a fishing trip given the choice of a hot evening with the wife or a night on CDC reading updated fishing reports you tell the wife you have a headache!

4. When you put on a hat to hide your face to go into Wal-Mart to buy a minnow bucket because you heard the big ones were bitting on minnows better. And the last time you were with your buddies you swore off of minnows!

5. When you pay cash for that minnow bucket at Wal-Mart and hide the reciept from the wife because she thinks you should be using some of the 10,000 plus jig skirts you own!

6. When you purchase a new Crappie rod that you just had to have and you purchase 2 of them and bring 1 home to the wife as a present so that you can get yours in the door!

7. When you purchase a new Crappie reel that is brand new on the market and you purchase 2 of them and bring 1 home to the wife as a present so that you can get yours in the door!

8. When you have been told by your wife that you are not allowed in Bass Pro Shops alone without her because last months debit card statement just came in and you spent $500.00 on Crappie fishing gear!

9. When its 4 am a week before fishing camp and Bugman PM's you on CDC quick call me I want to talk fishing!

10. When its 5 am and your wife gets out of bed to go to work and finds you on the phone in the living room talking to Bugman about Crappie fishing!

11. When you hide new Crappie fishing gear behind the seat of the pickup because you know that wife is going to throw a fit when she finds it!

12. When you forget to take the trash out on trash morning because your taking a mid morning nap because you were on CDC most of the night reading fishing reports.

I DO LOVE YOU PW58!!! PLEASE FORGIVE SOME OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION!!! I WAS HIGH ON COPENAGEN AND MY SUGAR LEVEL IS MESSED UP AGAIN!

Been really nice knowing you all just signed my own death warrant! Dont bother sending flowers just go wet a jig or a minnow!

13. When you have called the wife of your fishing partner to ask her permission for him to go fishing! SORRY MARCUS1968!

14. When you tell the wife and family forget about Christmas gifts and birthday gifts for you! Just get you any GIFT CARD from any place that selling Crappie Jigs!

15. When you will do anything to get out of going to the doctors office to get a shot. But consider a stuck finger from a Crappie Jig as a badge of honor!

16. When you have bookmarked Southern Pro Jigs and look daily for any new and updated colors you don't currently have!

17. When you take the wife out fishing on Truman Lake and launch the boat at 5:30 am and keep her on the lake until 7:30 pm that night. And won't take her back to the marina for a potty break because you know the bite is going to start anytime!

18. When you change your Ebay password so the wife can't see what Crappie fishing gear your bidding on!

19. When you tell the wife your too busy for lunch and won't meet her because your going over to the new Academy Sports store to look at Crappie Jigs!

17. above... My wife can relate. Now she understands why my friends won't fish with me.

20. When your wife brings home Mahi Mahi or Tuna steaks or Coho Salmon, you look at the price/lb and realize it is cheaper than crappie by the pound and really don't care.

21. All of your buddies have fished all thier lives. Until they fished with you they never had a pole over 6' long.

22. When you own cattle and have a freezer full of the best home raised beef steaks that money could buy but all you want to eat is fried Crappie!

23. When you check out CDC before you check for any company emails!

I can relate to 23! First thing I do.

24. You can dig paper/pen out of zip lock bag, paddle kayak, set hook or release fish and make a sale while crappie fishing from kayak. (FYI, the LG Vue can survive multiple water exposures).

25 when your wife wants to have dinner under soft lights and you bring out the crappie lights for night fishing a bologna samiches

26. Dan keeps ragging on sweet Paula and Paula shoots Dan............with Dan's gun. $29.95
27. Paula gets even with Dan at camp and poisons Dans jello shots $9.50
28. Helping Paula shed herself of Dan........................priceless!

29. When you set up a checking account at a different bank to keep the wife from knowing what you spend on crappie fishing.
30. When others are talking about fall deer season and bow season, and you have no interest in their conversation.
31. When you go out to the garage to look at your boat and say, "I know I can fit another rod holder on there somewhere".
32. You have CDC on your phone as a bookmark, and it is the most used item on your phone.
33. When you send Bugman more PM's than he can read in a day about going crappie fishing.

Yep I have done #29!

34. When you have more crappie fishing websites bookmarked than porno web sites!

35. When you become sleep deprived from reading CDC reports.
36. Falling asleep and dreaming of crappie fishing! (Now thats a good dream)

37. When the second most expensive thing you own is/are your depth finder(s).
38. When you would only use a bobber for a pacifier when you were a baby.
39. You use attractant as lip balm.
40. When you can't consider a friend a close friend if he doesn't like to fish for crappie.

Last Entry should read: When all of the items listed apply to you.

41. When you start talkin fishin and answering pm's at 3am and don't stop till 11pm and it's still not enough.
42. After all day of talkin and actually fishin you still wake yourself up by setting the hook.
43. When you repeat #41 and #42 364 day's a year.

44. When you decorate your Christmas tree with jigs and crankbaits for ornaments

45. If the only thing on your shopping list is jigs, line, rods, reels, and or other fishing related products.
46. When you stand in your yard shooting jigs under boat, truck, car, dog, and people because you couldn't get to the lake.

47. When driving down the road you size up every downed tree, brush pile, or dead cedar as possible crappie cover.
48. If you've ever pulled over on the side of the highway to gather said brush or dead cedars.
49. Your arms have ever looked like you tried to shove a wet noodle up a bob cat's arse due to messing with cedars.

I did #11 and #47 on the way home from work tonight and I did not even know this post existed, because I do not have a real phone yet.

I think I must have fallen asleep at bugmans......I wake up pretty regular when setting the hook!!!!!!!!!!!

50. When you check the weather report not for rain and temperature but wind, cause you do not want blown off your honey hole.

Just as long as you don't wake up in the same bed with him you should be ok if you have a current Rabies shot!

51-when you are driving down the road and you look at the bluffs where they blowed the rock out and see different ledges and imagine which one they would be on or the little gullys with the brush growing up along the sides ,where would those crappie be?

57 when you wake up at midnight to take a dookie and have to take the laptop with ya so you can browse cdc while you poop!
