#8 motel About 2 blocks from the gas station/bait shop/excellant sausage biscuits. Wb can tell you exactly where it is.
To many mesicans at Roach Motel 8. Stayed there for a CM Finals and ended up chaining everything down. I have stayed at EconoLodge/Motel 6 on the west side of I-55 for years with no trouble. They nice clean rooms at a good rate. I will be there next Wednesday for the finals. Tell them you want downstairs/in the back. If you book it on-line, the room is $32.99.
The wife and I stayed at the Jameson Inn. The price was right and the people were very helpful. I don't think I would leave anything of value in my boat regardless of what inn you stay at or what city you are in. It's a bad economy you know and there is always someone on the lookout for and easy mark. WB and/or BiggerJigger live in Grenada and I am confident they would tell you straight.Thumbs Up
Oh, contaire, my good man. I've never anything stolen at Motel 6. It's the one motel most fishermen stay at because of the boat parking.
Just park it at WB's house!
Don't let anyone talk you into leaving anything in your boat overnight. That's ridiculous.
I thought you were bringing it to MajflyboyLOL
I carry a 20x12 tarp everywhere I go. When I get ready for bed, I put the tarp over the boat and strap it down. A crook will normaly grab and run.
Yall gonna fish Sunday BRM?
I plan to but I may not be able to make it. I was just informed that the Big Cat Quest National Finals are being held in Memphis this weekend, and they are giving me a free booth. I might have to work. Hate them slimers, but those guys buy BIG boats!!!!! Won't know for sure till tomorrow. If I can't make it, I'm for sure coming the next weekend.
You can back up to the room and most of the time you don't have to unhook the boat.
Thanks guys I appreciate the info. I'm not lookin to stay at the Hilton nor the Vagabond, just someplace in between that's clean, safe and boat friendly!!! price ain't so much the issue as the other things. I've stayed in higher price places that were junk, and cheaper places that were really nice. Thanks Again!!!! If there are more places available that meet my criteria, please let me know. I do like being able to back my boat up to my room.
Don't worry ATM, I ain't leavin my stuff in the boat no matter where I stay,
I stayed at the Super 8 my last trip and found it satisfactory. It meets all of your prerequisites.
I always struggle with hotel recommendations for Grenada...there's nice one's here, but at one time or another, folks have had trouble with all. I usually recommend the bigger chains - Jammison, Holiday Inn, but they are on the pricier side too.
As far as your boat and stuff goes BRG...If you're coming, I rent out space at my house on the cheap....I mean real cheap.....like Wannabe cheap. But I do charge for electricity - I keep all loose, used jig heads I find on your boat. :)
You're more than welcome to park and plug at my house. Plenty of room.
Wannabe...
I like the sound of that. So basically, I use your electricity and you clean out my boat. Hmmmm, how could I past that. Could I talk ya into paintin my rod tips green also?
Prolly not gonna make it this weekend tho because of the slimer thang, but I might take you up next week if the offer stands. Nuttin like peace of mind wit yer fishin stuff!!! I'll let you know fer I come so I can get directions. I guess I could take ya for a free boofay somewhere, depends on how many jigs I leave in mah boat.
Thanks for the offer!!!!!
