Have to wait for the 2nd week.
Too early for me, I can never get fired up until October.
Going to try it this afternoon.
Cooler temps and a few acorns starting to fall might have them moving some.
Its on havent hunted at all yet this year. But wife hit a deer AGAIN with car last night. Thank god nobody got hurt except the blankety blank car 3rd deer for this car. First and last new car will ever bye. So dusting off bow gettin ready
Our season opened the 10th. Havent been yet. Just not motivated to hunt yet since it's so hot and too dry to see much signs.:(
not me, but couple buds of mine have been checking out and sitting up there stands, they came in last night and reproted 9 does and 3 small bucks, all the does had twins. looks like last year, soon as gun season opens I wont see a deer.
I won't gamefully noc an arrow till Nov 1.
Went out and dusted off the stands and cleared lanes last Sunday had some decent ones on the cameras.
Went out and saturday and hunted for a couple of hours seen three does and a small buck. Didn't feel like sitting out in the rain today.
Went out opening day and seen five bucks, one of them is in the picture below. I hunted a different stand Friday night and had a nine point come under my stand which I passed on, went back and hunted the first stand Sunday night and the buck below and a eight pointer came by about 25 yards and I blew it!, had to crouch down on my treestand to take the shot through some brush and shot right over his back. The only good thing he is still out there!
Have not been fishing much the last few months, been busy building a garage beside my house, I hope to start posting crappie reports soon. :)
Sorry for the bad pictures, looks like I need a new camera card.

the early season is usually a great time to be hunting!! I usually don't miss the beginning of bow season, but I have not gone yet this season. this summer went by in a flash, it seems like memorial day was last week. so I am still in fishing mode but slowly switching gears.
Yep, I think it's the best time of the season to hunt, they are on there feeding pattern and are pretty predictable. When love gets in the air it's hard to say when or where you will see them. :)
Definitely be going............ bow is the only way that I hunt deer, have for a bunch of years now............ still love to shoot the guns but much prefer to hunt with bow. My son likes the gun season so Nov is a fun month for us. I usually wait till mid October and do a 4 day weekend hunt, then take the 2 weeks before rifle season off and go full time. Love it and can't wait.
