September's Harvest Moon Over Lake Conway/9-12-11

As I caught My 20th keeper late in the evening, I looked to the east and saw a beautiful Full Moon rising over Lake Conway as I packed away my Rods this was the last sight I looked at, as I started my motor and left my fishing hole. On the way back to the truck I thought to myself I had just an average Limit for this time of year. But then It hit me like a ton of Bricks. I had fished flawlessly through out the day, not missing not even one fish the whole day. The weather was perfect, my fishing was perfect. I realize how Perfect God's plan is for us. I am truly blessed to be able to take part in this sport called Crappie Fishing. Amen...

Yeap those will eat! Sounds like one of those days that you just sit back and reflect on, those days are great to have and enjoy, always puts a big smile on my face when things just fall into place without realizing what just happened until you stop and assess the situation. Nice fish!

Already am, after seeing this post by CP and all those posts and pictures of crappie camp on Nimrod! Doh That Harvest Moon is not as purty down here on the beach, compared to over Lake Conway!

Deshunal make your stand in the main lake Cypress tree clusters of Pierce creek or in the main lake Gold Creek area. Purple /Chart and Wht/chart or a WHT/Chart Meatgetter on a painted chart or orange head used with a crappie nibble has been my bait of choice and caught me hundreds of crappie this summer. Keep ur baits on the small side 1.5 in tubes or stingers should get you bit.

Watch for my posts and you'll know when the upper creeks are on fire.

Gold Creek and fish scattered main lake live cypress trees. Is where i fish mainly. But I also run all over fishing where ever i see Live cypress in 5-7 feet of water. Good Luck

MM, This time of year at Gold Creek Concentrate your efforts along the edges of the creek channel dipping and dunking the pads and timber from the I-40 bridge to the pool. Yes they should start moving in, I believe the pool is 2-3 weeks out from becoming hot tho.
