It would have been tough today. Had to pull on-call so stuck at the house.
Painted and tied a few jigs.

i was at nimrod whew! had to keep the trolling motor on 4 just to keep with insite of my bouys .lots of small ones
I put a radio in the boat today. Will make those slow days a little more fun.
I went out and like it was said the wind was awful. Did alot of moving and ended up keeping a dozen Crappie. Gave them away at the ramp. The cold front had a slowing effect on the bite. If the wind had'nt been so rough I really believe I'd limited anyway. Caught most of my keepers in a stakebed in 10' of water up a creek off the river where the wind was partially blocked.
Definately rougher than yesterday. Yesterday I took whitetail's boy fishing, whitetail is our newest member. Caught a limit and so did his boy. Welcome to the board whitetail.
Just got back from a great dove hunt with a friend in Il. haven't fished since wed. but going to get back attem soon as I get rested up, got to get ready for the camp out!!!!!
Water temps dropped from 88 to 80 over night. With these cool nights and days forecast this week it could be good this weekend. Hopefully the wind will be gone and crappie aggressive with this major cold front passsed.Quote:

I went to far south eastern ar and I caught the wind I guess before most did it was awful on Sat. Caught 5 crappie and a bunch of gar. Went to Taylor Bay Monday evening wind still blowing but did catch some right in the middle of the trees.
