I was told to be on the lookout for more molds from caneycreek. I was checking their site and found a new crappie mold. Here is the description and picture. It looks like another great bait. It is a little pricier than I would like to see, but it looks like it is a good one.


The Small Fry is an "action" profile bait with a very unique stinger tail. The tail is triangle shaped tapering from the body to almost nothing. The unique shape of the tail gives it a realistic profile, while also allowing maximum resistance and action from the taper.

The Small Fry is almost 2.25" long and 1/4" at it's widest. The body is .75" long and the tail is almost 1.5" long.

The mold is 12 cavities, aligned vertically to make pouring or injecting laminates a snap.

They also have the stinger wutzit in 2.5 inch now. I would love to see that one in a 2 inch as well. A nice guy here sent me a sample of the 2.5 and it is great, I think one a little smaller would be even better. They have a few more new molds too, so take a look at their site. caneycreekmolds.com

They also have a 1.75 inch in the small fry bait.

Yep! I have some of the fryes. My initial thoughts is the body is a smaller than I would like. But if tail action is what u care about then u would like them!

ron I actually seem to do better with the smaller bodies. some people like the bigger ones though.

Small baits work great but You are going to have to use small hooks with these bodies!

I noticed them on their website. Looking forward to giving them a go!

they look awesome. There is just so many plastics out there lol... I believe thats gonna be my next venture next year. Im gona shoot me some plastic

it definitely looks like a awesome they must've been reading my mind I was on there this morning looking at it I wonder all similar that tail is to the shark. What I meant is I wonder if it has the same action and he has not made any bigger in diameter.

Tail is triangular shaped. Its only bait I've seen like that. It's a great design!

Im with RonDon, gotta have my #2 hooks....they are a nice looking lure though

It is a lot of fun but very expensive and very time consuming. I have more molds I want to buy but dang I can not afford much ha ha.

go look at some of lurecraft molds tell me which you think they have some fantastic injection molds by the way does anybody know who makes the molds.

snake I saw some of the lurecraft molds last week, however I am not sure I care much for them myself. I emailed them a few months back and asked them about who made their molds and I deleted the email. I can not remember but it seems like someone I had not heard before if I remember correctly.

Kmolds. Pintail minnow is a nice bait.

rondon I have been looking at that mold ever since it came out, I might would have bought it had it been a 10 cavity for that price. It is nice looking but overpriced for 5 cavities.

ok sorry rondon, i was thinking they did because that mold did look the same to me. when I went to lurecraft site the other day I was like dang that looks identicle to the pintail minnow on kmolds site.

the molds are good-looking molds never make them did a good job.the one that I really liked was the Pintail.

do they do custom work.

snake the pintail is the same one I showed you before that kmolds has on their site, the only reason I never bought it is because it is only 5 cavities. It does look really good though.
