Fished again today with a neighbor this trip. There was little wind and the fish did'nt bite much. We brought in 17 but no real good ones, he kept some 9-9.5'' fish so he would have enough to fillet. Wonder how hot it will get? Yesterday it was reported at Danville 111 degrees! The water temp was showing 91-92 degrees at the foot of my trolling motor about 10 am when we quit.

Can't get too excited about fishing in this heat!!! Glad y'all caught some though. Maybe we'll get a break in this in a week or two!
Pretty bad hot , biggest fish we caught was about 11'' or so. I think the lack of wind not only hurt the fishermen but ruined fishing today.
thats dedication to the sport of fishing when it is this hot !!!!!!!!!!!

It's a 104 at Greers Ferry right now with a heat index of 122 that's crazy.
In Jonesboro its 106 with heat index 120
its a 106 in cleveland, county home of meatgetter jigs.
Right now the National Weather Service station at the Little Rock airport is reporting 113 with a heat index of 116. Only 19% humidity so I guess that's keeping the heat index low.
Just went outside. It felt like a blast furnace. Dead or dying bumblebees all over the ground! There's been a small stray dog hanging out on the porch at a vacant place next door. It ran off when I walked up but it didn't have a drop of water! I filled it up 2 bowls of cool well water.

I held a thermometer outside at Newhope yesterday at about 2 pm it went to 115 F. Newhope is on hwy 70 between Kirby and Dierks.
