I fished by myself this weekend with CrappieKing down south. I dont mind fishing during the week by myself but on the weekend I like someone to talk to and keep me fishing. Fished Midway and Wapa and was off the water by 11:30 each day. The bite was slow and sun was hot.

Nice pics. I've been putting my umbrella up during these hot days and it makes a big deference. But I can take the heat, I can't take the cold. Still good you got some even if they were slow.
there are those darned lilly pads. Went sat, got a late start and wasnt prepared to fish the pads correctly (left my telescoping jig pole at home). caught one catfish at wappan. only stayed a few hrs as it got hot and was having engine/fuel line probs.
Planning on hitting wappann. again soon. may head to horseshoe friday.

Thanks bowhunter - I will have to get a map and find this White River Refuge soon. I am trying to learn a little each year about the White river but cant get away from the MS river. I am told its a big place with many lakes. If I knew the areas name (not asking for hot spots) I think I could find some fish. Once again I have never been there but I think I can find it with some real names or directions. Not like the guys in Jonesboro that tell you to turn at the grain bins. Heck we have grain bins everywere. The favor will be returned. Thanks
