Well if you decide 2 move here welcome. Lots of great fisherman here. And very good neibors 2
Good choice, Frank. Truman is a tremendous fishery and other great fisheries nearby. Welcome to the SHOW ME state, neighbor.
Welcome to Missouri. All the lakes are good fishing and pretty nice to be on. But if ya wanna fish year round without the hassle of boat traffic Truman is the lake.
So when you moving here? I'm sure there are many people, including myself, that would gladly show you around good ole' Truman. I can help you out on the Tebo arm, other than that you need to go with someone else!! It really is a nice area! The area offers quite of bit of outdoor stuff to do no matter what you like!
come on down and have some pie, ,,
We are planning on coming back in the spring and bringing the boat so we can fish and hopefully look at some relestate. we are thinking middle of april. how is weather that time of year.
April showers bring May flowers! It's a great time of year though! I could recommend a realtor out of Lincoln, MO if you need a good one....very nice lady! What area of the lake are you looking at?
The state is retirement friendly for sure. Lower taxes, lower fuel cost, etc..
Welcome to the Show Me State. Look forward to meeting you at one of the get togethers.

We live in Sedalia, which is just 30 miles north of Warsaw, & I can be of any help, feel free to give me a call 660-826-7220
We also have an RV south of Warsaw (Reed's RV Park) & spend a lot of time there also.
April will be some great fishing, and cool weather to look at property. You're living the dream now. Congrats.
Do not take Duncan's advice, he will lead you astray, just ask Hogster.
I can use all the advise i can get, good and bad lol. we looked around Warsaw,Clinton, (the wife liked the atv riding area up that way). the final decesion will be up to her if she cant find what she wants we will build. all i need is a shop for the boats.
Clinton area would be my choice. It's a nice community.
Stay clear of Windsor, the mayor is one onery dude! Clintn would bey choice also.
My money is on Clinton. You'll be living a few minutes from the best fishing in MO.
Welcome to MO. If you plan it right, you might be here during the Missouri Spring Crappie Camp traditionally held at Truman Lake. Watch the calendar and see if it pans out. Be good to meet you and give you a chance to meet several of the people from the Missouri forum.
I'm jealous..........maybe that'll be me in, ohhhhhhhhh 37 years give or take!
U
I'd highly doubt you'll need to build. I have dozens of clients in the Warsaw, Clinton, and Deepwater areas. There are so many "lake homes" up for sale due to the economy it is a buyer's market right now. I know I wish we were ready to move... I'd be a Henry county resident ASAP. Cass county taxes suck.
For convenience and access to good medical care I'd move on the west side of the lake. Clinton, west Warsaw, and/or Deepwater. Oceola/Lowry City have some good lake access too. As you get older medical care is more important. Being in those areas can give one a shorter commute to the city for "real" care. Not saying you can't get care down there, but all my clients end up in the city for the serious things.
Deepwater/Cooper Creek Rec. area is pretty awesome!! I couldn't begin to tell you how many hours I have logged there on a dirtbike and quad. I sold my last bike when my wife and I got married to pay for the honeymoon....Sure would like to get a few four wheelers when our daughter gets a few years older and start heading back there!!
