Midway yesterday

Fished Midway from 6:30 to noon yesterday morning. Had a pretty good day slow trolling minnows.

When you say Midway, are you talking about the river between Midway and Clarksville? Good bunch o fish. Especially for this time of year.

I'm referring to an area about 30 miles south of west memphis that is fed by the mississippi river.

Put in on the south end and went about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile back north. We also caught several small catfish. Another boat with us caught 8 though with the smallest being 3 or so and the biggest being around 10. They had a heck of a mess of catfish to go along with 15-20 crappie.

Was going to ask you minnows or jigs, but you already had said in your initial post.

They were there but not to bad. Only had 1 get close to getting in the boat.

Yes sir. That is the good part about the waters around the Mississippi. I also like the 30 fish limit in our part of the state although I rarely have to worry with it. U fish Poinsett much? I've heard it can be pretty good with some quality fish.

Me and RCC say we own Poinsett. Its our go to lake after work. We have crappie condos and cover put everywhere in it. Most fish are small but there are some nice ones.
