Maybe not all of them, but at least a few hundred....Thumbs Up. It's always fun when you get into a school of those giant EF blacks. Good times out there, you've got those settings about perfect now.
I'm learning. i really don't spend much time looking at this thing.
Now I have to figure out that 2d sonar. I know I can get better/clearer screens. If it were a black and white unit, it would be easier to set up. This color has me messed up.
what unit is it...
Lowrance HDS8.
Max did that unit come with down & SI or did you have to add the box?
I had to add it, so with this set up there are 2 transducers.
You don't have to add anything to the Birds. I went with Lowrance because several people told me the pics were clearer, a little more detail. I talked to a guide at Ky Lake who was familiar with both brands, he preferred the Low because even in bright sun there is no problem in seeing the screen. (that pretty much sold me)I have to agree. I saw on a few sites where people with some of the Birds were adding sun screens to their units. I don't know if it's still a problem or not.
If you want to check it out let me know.
Here's another pic I thought looked pretty cool. I wish I would have marked this stuff with the GPS
