Anybody got any structure scan pictures taken from a Lowrance HDS? I would like see some real world images from crappie anglers. Seems like it is hard to find alot of real world images on the web. If you got some post them up... Thanks!

I went out today to mess with the setting on my HDS8. I've had it for a few months but have been to busy catching fish to mess with it.
I took this today. If you look at it I think you can see the thermocline at 15'

But a little earlier in the day I was fishing with a friend and we came upon these. It was amazing. The water was almost 90 degrees.

i started a thread a while back "lowrance hds interpertations and discussions" we have quite a bit of information there and pictures structure scan and sonar and discussions./ love to have you on that thread as well. bring your pics and come on over lol

Wilbur and Frank, all you have to do is go to the menu when you have your 2d up or highlighted while in multiple screens. Choose pallette and play with the colors you want. You might have to adjust your sensitivity to your liking. You side and down imaging along with your 2d are adjustable as far as the pallette colors are concerned. Good luck, and nice pictures guys. Wish I had time to fish.
I'll have to check it out. I actually think the 2d still sucks. I haven't played with it. I have an X15mt that I had on the console and it had the best settings I've ever seen. It was b&w but a perfect screen. I have no idea how it was set up before I replaced it with the HDS unit. I'll look this week-end and try to see how the 2d is set up. If I can get it to look even better, I'll do a before and after.Quote:

Do you call everybody a troll? I am not trolling. I am seriously considering switching from a 898 HB to a Lowrance HDS system. I want to determine if the HDS systems takes better SI pictures or not or if they are about the same. There are some pictures on BBC and on crappiegirls topic. I have seen them all. I was looking for some new pictures from people on this site. If you google Lowrance structure scan you get lots of images but I want to see actually images taken from people not ones used for advertising.Quote:
