but planted some fall corn today, daughter came down the hill and her and Miss Sharon rowed and planted some candy corn, I drank coffee and supervised the endevor, planted 15 short rows then turned on the sprinkler. soaked the kernals 36 hr. before planting, hope the stuff comes up Old Farmers Almanic said today was a good day, hope so, love that fall corn.
big ole green tomatoes but no ripe ones just yet, close any day now....
one more thing, went up on the south side and checked the corn patch there, 50 ac. on the neighbour, deer have really been working on the outer rows, eating the silks, and nibbling the tops of the ears, picked a couple ears for dinner ,, like a good mess of field corn once in the summer, small kernals, tough as heck, but great taste.
watermellons are getting big almost ready, and been picking hot peppers for awhile...
