Can you still launch at the Fowlers landing?

Yes. The fishin was great till the river got back in. Will be good when it starts fallin. Haven't heard when that will be. A friend of mine caught 37 hawgs there the Saturday before the rise long lining jigs out from Big Kildee on the island side in 4-5 fow. He launched at Fowlers.

Is there a pay box? Miss buying bait and visiting with Mr. Fowler, he was a nice guy.

Haven't been myself, busy sellin crappie boats, but you're right about Mr.Fowler. Good Folks. The last time I launched there it looked pretty run down, and no bait. I usually go to ed's because it's closer for me.

sign on box says 7 dollars a boat

My buddy told me today that they went back to 5 bucks. That's what he paid a week or so ago.

Were they pulling (longlining) or side pulling? Just curious what you meat by longlining and how many poles?

They were long lining about 20-40 feet back, or until it hit bottom, then just reeled em up a bit.

Pullin like cranks. Not side pullin like Roger Gant. Both will work.

Hey hawg, how's horeshoe been?

My last couple trips haven't been too good. Had a couple good days bout the 2nd week in June, but bite slowed down the last couple of trips. Getting geared up for hunting season and probably won't go back until the Fall.

2 weeks ago the sign said 7 bucks. What's wrong with launching off the levee up a ways from fowler's? About where the trees start.

Been launching at Ed's Camp, but with the water high I'm afraid I might have to back half way across the lake to get my glass boat off the trailer.

Not Sure....I only went after them a couple of times, but it has been a month or better since. I did do good the few times I went though. My wife really likes brim fishing, so when she goes thats what we set out for.

Haven't been over there in a couple years... Grew up fishing there though with my dad single pole fishing. I guess that's what hooked me. I mainly fish the North Mississippi lakes now and Horseshoe Lake during the late fall/winter...
