Here is a post from another forum "The Arkansas Hunting And Fishing Forum'' . It was posted by WW who goes by nimrodman on here.
We had people leaving throughout the day because of the heat... and I finally burned out myself around 5. Not sure how many we started out with maybe around 10 or 15, just know by 5 o'clock when I left we were were down to maybe 4.
Me and the 2 USACE guys, Nathan and Kent, put out brush piles till 12:30 then headed in to eat and pick up a load of pallets. But not before they pulled the barge up to a big camp on the bank and Kent ask them did they wanna pick up all their empty beer cans, or did they want a ticket? They immediately chose to pick up the cans... :happy0035: They musta had a couple of cases or more of empties scattered all over the place with some of them floatin' in the water. I thought he was pretty lenient with them considering the mess they were making.
While the 3 of us were doing the brush, fish and crew were busy putting pallets together and sinking them in the lake. Then after a lunch of fried crappie we all built stake beds till around 5 o'clock when NIMROD and what few were left by then headed back to the lake to sink them.
Bad hot today but we placed 29 brush piles and probably 70 or more pallet beds.... and we still have maybe 30 or so more pallets left to build and sink.....
Man I sure hope all them big ole slab crappie appreciate what we did for them today...... :happy0035:
This build originated over on Crappie.com and I had the privilege of makin' the aquantence of some good hard working dedicated crappie fisherman from that site today that I'd never met before...... :appl: :appl: :appl:
We weighted the brush on the barge before leaving the bank then 2 of us rolled it off when we got to where we were going.

We used concrete blocks attached with large zip ties to weight the brush

While we did the brush NIMROD and crew built stake beds and sunk them from their boats and one barge that belonged to HWP, whose place it was here on Nimrod where we put the stake beds together.

We took a lunch break and NIMROD ended up having to cook the crappie because our designated cook slabbandit had a brain fart and was still out sinking stake beds when he was supposed to be cooking... :happy0035:

Then along about 5, with 2 more trailers loads, and a barge, and a boat, and a truck full of pallets, those who could still take the heat headed back out on the lake to sink them... while this burned out fat boy headed for home and the air conditioner... :excited: Have I said yet it was hot today.... :yep:
