mystery jig
THought maybe one of you guys might know who made thid jig or somone that might have one? This was my last one that was given to me by dad and I got bit off last day on the ice.....Was my hottest jig, so I would love to find more or find somone who can make me a mold. Only thing i know was that it had a size 12 hook......EK http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/..._5581102_n.jpg

the Hook hangs at an angle. I thought it might be a pony head but i cant find a mold that will take under a 6 hook size?
-
If your dad has one left and dont mind to part with, call Crazy Angle Tackle on our business section he may be able to help. There is also a place called LureCraft you can try them also. They will want a jig so they can cut the mold. Good Luck
-
thats the issue, when dad gave up fishing he gave me his box and there was 6 of these in there, now i have none lol hmmmm I asked him if he remembered where he picked them up and he thought he got them from a guy back in the early 90's who made his own but couldn't remember the name.

Good reason to never tie on the last one of anything until you find more. I sure don't know what it is.
-
That's a tough one!!!! especially the body!!!
-
Do a search for a jalapeno jig and see if that's it...
-
not a jr's jalepeno, although i do have a tone of those in the box lol
-
Maybe a pony without the swivel?
-
Picture this without a swivel like RonDon suggested. I could pour them and perhaps trade for some of those plastic bodies or something else.... PM me if interested.

what is the smallest sive hook you can mold that head on? might give it a try anyway.
-
I'll check and get back with you for sure, but I think a #6 or #8 is standard.

an 8 or ten would be best for the plastics i use. On a side not i found the guy that makes these jigs through working some of my contacts in the ice fishing industry! so now i get to await a reply to see if he wants to sell me any lol
-
that is a weird plastic... and yeah that just looks like a pony without a blade like the others said
-
those plastics are made by a buddy out of wisconsin, his name is jeremy and his company is J&S custom jigs, you can get his stuff through thorne bros in MN or google sporsmans direct they are his online retailer. He has the Ice mite magnum, Ice mite, Ice mite JR, Paddle bug, the one in the pic is the gojo, all have been lights out on bluegills and crappies through the ice for me this last year. http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/..._6796454_n.jpg
