I think you did a fantastic job it doesn't matter if it is for crappie are not we definitely like to see anything made from plastics keep up the good work I hope to see more of your work on here I hope if anybody else has any plastic baits to show on here please do so I think everybody would be interested on what you are doing we have quite a few bass fisherman on here also so any of your snake surly search or any other plastic baits that you may want to show please do so.
Those things look pretty cool!!
Thanks Bob I've got several molds and new ones in the works soon as Rick can get to them .Guess I ought to post more often but here I sit smack in the middle of the U.S. making salt water lures . Its that time of year. The weather here played havock on the crappie season .
Hey Crappie 1 , Thanks what would you like to see . Dream something up and I'll try to do it.
Nice baits
If I were a bass, those would get my attention. Nice job.
Nothing wrong with those, great looking baits Thumbs Up.
I like them alot, that snake head should make them last longer since the head is the first thing that tears up.
Thanks for the cudo's Guys , I took one fishing this morning. The only lure I took . Walked about half a mile back in the woods to a pond I like . Might know the new owner has let cows into the pond it was so nasty and the color of dark chocolate milk. I went ahead and fished around the cows got one strike lost my fish and snake between the cows legs . By now it's hot I just said heck with it . Maybe another place tomorrow.
Looks good!!!!!!!!!!
How about suggesting some colors guys . Laminates on these are a pain . I'm working on it.
watermelonseed
Chartreuseand
Starting to get it down now . Had to pull a vacume on the mold to help pull the second color through the mold since the mold was not designed to do laminates.Attachment 64369
Tried to do the watermelon seed by mixing base colors . Then an old abrogast color . Lastly abrogast color laminate. Did I get close to anything ?Attachment 64425
you are doing a fantastic job on the plastic baits keep up the good work hope to see more of your work. We will be pouring tomorrow we are going to shoot some crappie dancers.
I started to get that mold but being late in the year I didn't . Since I only provide lures on request as the need arises and the crappie fishing wasn't as good this year. Hope those crappie dancers do well for you. Here is a thought palmer a hackle just behind the jig head like a lions main then put the dancer on . Works reel well on small craws too.
I dont get to bass fish alot, but I do a little, those are great looking lures, the craw looks real good.....havent ever fished the snake lures, but they look good, nice work....have a great one, God bless!!!
That is one huge snake you sent me. You are right. The bucket mouths will just hammer that one. The crass should be nice for smaller bass and smallmouth. Thank you.
Your welcome brother have fun.
I enjoyed bass fishing myself when I'm out fishing for them we use a variety of plastic baits also a lot of crank baits I enjoy watching bass strike on the surface we've caught quite a few bass on poppers also on jitterbug's Lucky 13's" if you bass a Raynaud's we also use quite a few other crank baits yes I do enjoy collecting them we have quite a few of the old-timers you know the one with the glass eyeballs I probably have over 500 crank baits that just the collectibles the ones that I fish with around 300 but we only use two or three most the time I do have probably 10 casting rods around 45 to 50 spending I have encountered them lately we usually buy two or 3 rods every year as I do have a bad habit of buying custom-built rods we do use b&m off and on most the time when I'm crappie fishing I use a super featherweight graphite custom-built rods most of my rods are graphite we do have a few old-time glass that is awesome to fish with them but they wear you out especially the casting they weigh a ton we have two or three Hedden rods I believe the Mark one and Mark 2 on the phone me talking about my tackle keep up the good work on the plastic baits is I do enjoy reading about what you guys are doing for bass I haven't got into making many plastic baits for them but we are thinking about picking up some molds for them.
Ship ,Did I include any crappie stuff ? If I didn't I'll see if I can come up with something weird in the range of 2 inches or so .
Good grief snake get ready to use up some plastic . Those lures I made take sometimes a 1/3 or more of a cup at a time .
Brent got my sample today and it looks great!!!!!!!!! Those smaller ones really look good.
Thanks
Fatman
The watermelon I usse for bass is a bit darker green that your middle snake pondhopper however I believe that color will & should work just as good, maybe better in off color water. Nice looking plastics
Thanks guys Will post another large bait tonite . This time a hand pour swim bait.
