Yes i will be down. I have an appointment to have a test done Friday morning at 8:00 am. After i get out i will be loading up and headed down. Hopefully i will make it by noon time. I am going to fish Friday and Saturday. Depending on how well i am doing i may go ahead and stay and fish a half day Sunday. With the numbers that you all have been catching I'd better keep my money and just fish for some eaters. I was planning on fishing the tourney two months ago but i was also planning on fishing every weekend since the water levels got down till the 25th. Since this will be my first time fishing Green since i think March because of water levels, work and then health. I will have to see what size of fish i can find first. I have to start another bank next week in Jackson, Ky. If i do fair this weekend i will try and plan on getting back to fish next Thursday and Friday. If i still am doing good then yes. Are you all fishing this weekend and the Tourney?
Is there a Crappie USA tx on Sat. June 25? I was planning a day trip this day coming from No Ky area.
I need to know for sure.

There is a crappieusa tourney Saturday June 25th out of Holmesbend marina. Crappie USA :: 2011 Tournament Trail
there is a very good chance i will be there. today wasnt as good as last week, the water temp was alot cooler (about 6 degrees).
Caught about 40 on soft plastics today. Water 81 degrees and stained. Lots of crappie folk on the lake today. I'll be back saturday morning.
I will keep an eye out for ya'll. The next day after a front pushes thru is usually not a good day. I did not think that they got that much rain but according to greenriverlake.com, they got 1.06 inches of rain.
But it didn't show any rise to the lake. Still at 675.4. The national weather service out of Louisville is saying 40%/88 for Fri, 30%/90 for Sat and 20%/92 for Sun. I guess i pick a good weekend to get back to fishing .
Was that 40 fish or 40 keepers? Either way Congrats! If you don't mind me asking which area of the lake was stained? I always put in at Holmesbend and it usually takes a couple of days for the water to stain after a hard rain. Thanks.
40 total fish, 14 keepers. Upriver from Holmes Bend a few miles. There are a lot of big deadheads that weren't there before the flooding this year. Be careful to all of you all that aren't familiar with that part of the lake or you can be out of a lower unit real quick.
caught over 200 Yesterday with 60 keepers ........with a few over 12 and one over 14 ...If you dont have some pink Jigheads you are missing out...Thumbs Up
I had a much better day yesterday as well. 28 keepers and twice as many short fish.
Casting jigs. Most fish only about 7 ft deep (surprise!!)
Water on main lake is clear green, up the river it gets stained
Good luck fellows
