ESPN writer Edward Asschapped or however you spell it, has Chris Relf listed as an "off-the-radar" Heisman candidate

Chris Relf, QB, Mississippi State: Relf is probably the most athletic quarterback in the SEC. He passed for 1,789 yards and 13 touchdowns, while rushing for 713 yards and five more scores. Relf ended the 2010 season with a lot of passing momentum by throwing for more than 200 yards in each of his last three games, after passing for more than 200 yards just once before that. The Bulldogs are a trendy pick in the West and Relf is the guy who will put a lot of the offense on his shoulders. If he can keep improving as a passer, he'll put up good numbers with the wealth of receiving talent around him.

I pay for a couple state sites to get inside info and It's gonna be one heck of a year for the dogs. MOST sports folks that actually keep up with the SEC are predicting State either 1st or 2nd in the SEC West next year.
We return one of the top 3 QB's in the league and have 2 High School parade all americans waiting on their turn, the 2nd best RB combo in the league, Great WR talent with some redshirts that are just amazing. The DL has 2 of the top talents in the league in Cox and Boyd, then add in the CB's and Safety's all played for the last 2 years together and had the 3rd most Intersecptions in the SEC last year. LB is the only tough spot but a great DL and D backfield will take pressure off the LB's till they get up to speed. I say back to Hotlanta for the dogs this year in the SEC Championship game


OH and guess who they're picking for LAST PLACE? DA BEARS
Another side note on Da Bears is they are one of only 3 teams that have never played in Hotlanta in the SEC Championship game AHHH HAHAHA

MSU is setting up his Heisman publicity campaign now. Folks compare him to Tebo and the cheater.

Morris, if Relf came pick up where he left off last year and this spring, he should end up with close to 2,750 yards of passing, around 20 TD passes, then add in 750-1000 yards rushing and another 8-10 TD's. If State wins the west then he has a real good shot at it

Whats scary bout our engineers is that 4 or 5 years ago the Students engineers desiged a Deck out in Left field lounge at the Baseball field. It looked real nice until folks piled on top of it and started jumping up and down. The sucker collapsed under the weight LOL Just glad no one got hurt

Yea a few of my buddies built the pike left field lounge and its pretty sweet, but I know them personally and don't trust their design too much

man, you and me both. I kept up with Spring practice though the 2 pay sites and it's gonna be one heck of a year. We'll have 5, possible 6 WR's that are blazing that don't drop the balls any more. The new WR coach has them on the right track. Then add in IF he gets healthy a new RB that's 6' 2" tall, weighs 220 and runs a 4.35 40. He made alot of people look stewpit in the spring with some of his cuts. he messed up his ACL abit and had some surgery but they expect him to be 100% by the season opener

Oh My oh My.. That is just sad to work for ESPN say something like that and still be employed.. I am a State Fan and have nothing against Relf but he not only will he not be a Heisman candidate he will not be a 1st round pick. State is going to win 1 more game than last year and go to a bowl that is about it.

I agree ch68. They should beat auburn this year, but that's the only extra win.
From what I've heard and seen, relf is as dumb as they come. He wasn't very impressive against Bama or auburn last year. Two teams with good defenses. Sure he looked like a heisman against Michigan, but who didn't.

He also had a bunch of brick handed, no ball catchin receivers around him. They would pull an awesome catch out of their butt for six yards, but when they had ten yards on the DB, and a catch would mean six points, straight thru their hands...

I dunno bout Relf winning the heisman, I think he'll be better than last year, but not winner material. I could be wrong but, I'm getting used to that

State HAS won the west before and Da Bears best finish was 3rd in the west. Dem Bears sucked last year and gonna be even worse this year. Sad thing is State had the 15th toughest scheduule last year and Da Bears had the 7th EASIEST one but still were aweful. Lest not forget the FELON they brought in top be the QB last year. Now he's gone along with Stanley who was gonna be the starter who left cause he was sick of Nuts Crap and lies. TSUN doesn't have a QB on their roster that's even taken a snap in a real game AHHH HAHAHA Troller. Bama will be pretty good this year but we're gonna be dang close to them with our salty defense and now that we have some weapons on Offense, Bamer better look out. You did watch the Michigan game, right?

Relfs come a LONG WAYS since last year. Yeh, he ain't the sharpest tool in the she but heck, he had Crooms coaching him for 2 years and that took awhile to get out of his system LOL He's looking real good right now and had one heck of a spring. Add in Sanders, Heavens, Smith, Arceto Clark and Carr all having coming out parties against Michigan and we've got some WR's that don't drop tha ball. Notice I didn't say anything about Bumphis he's about as Brick handed as they come. LOL OH and don't forget Perkins (4.37 40) out of the backfield and Green at TE, they don't drop the ball
