Im gonna go to silver lake and try and win a tournament.(and freeze my a** off in the cold rain.
We have a banquet/auction on Saturday then I am heading to the ocean for some razor clams Sunday and Monday. I will probably try for some surf perch too.
urban masta and i will be hitting washington on sat or sun, we are still not sure of the date.
yea we could hit both if we wanted, maybe. samammish is a little bit of a drive for me so i think i will wait until the fishing is a little hotter. union and washington are nice and close. hope to get some trout or perch or anything as long as i am not skunked.
i think i will wait for a day without rain for me to get skunked :D
if its not that windy i might try washington. but if the huskies win my sunday is taken.
that is what we are trying to avoid, the wind.
saturday looks like its supposed to be better in terms of wind, and sunday looks like its supposed to be better in terms of rain. but thats just a prediction i guess. i think i rather put up with the rain personally
Yeah, that wind can be a pain in the a$$ until you find a good spot to anchor up on. If all else fails you guys can achor up under one of the bridges and fish for smallies or perch. Good way to get the hell out of that wind and rain.
I'm gonna check out Duck for the first time next weekend Koke.
I would say good luck but you know where to go, so you should not need it.
hey King, The Kokes in Lake Stevens are just waking up. I know the lake well. I might fish it in next week or two. Want to join me?
Let me know buddy
Ice
I would but I am going to Costa Rica for the first two weeks of april and have school on the weekdays. But when I get back i am definatly up for it, and by that time they should be good and awake. How do you usually go after them?
you have any luck on samammish or washington slabking? i don't have anything to show for my efforts yesterday, except for a huge sculpin
Don't cut your self short urban, it was a sculpin out of 60 feet of water with a three inch tube, Good Job!!
yea i know and it was about 10 lbs. too!:D
You did better than me Urban:D. I got beat to death by the wind, lost over 20 jigs to brushpiles, missed my only bite of the day, and ran out of oil (forgot to check it in the morning:( ). Other than that it was still fun to get out on the old lake:D. I may not be able to head out again until mid-April and then I'll be on the Snake River or Moses for the spawn.
I'd love to go out Ice but the next few weeks are gonna busy for me. I'm pretty backed up on work at my buisness and need to get caught up before May gets here. I'm also going to start shooting a warmwater fishing in Washington DVD series so I have to figure out were we want to shoot during Spring. If there's anything you guys would like to see...let me know. So far I plan to show how to troll for Snake River crappie (should be a good show with a few 2lb slabs caught), how to locate deep structure, catching crappie during spawn and post-spawn, night fishing urban lakes, then a combo show on Moses Lake and Potholes summer fishing.
that sounds cool slabking  . how are you going to do that? or sell themQuote:

Yeah, it should be pretty fun I think. I'm trying to keep the cost down around $10 per DVD. I'd like to expand it next year and start doing DVD's for each good lake in the state incuding maps and GPS coordinates. We'll see what happens. If it takes off I may open a small tackle shop for warmwater species that carries all the different brands of jigs, poles, crankbaits, reels, floats, and etc that we use but always have to order. Just need to find someone that can cover the register for me during the spawn :D.
sounds good. where do you plan to sell them?
I already have BestBuy ready to carry them online. I also plan on getting them placed in a few local tackle shops and sell them online when my new website is up this Fall.
let us know when they are out, i will definitely buy some
same :DQuote:

I almost spit up my drink on the keyboard laughing at that one Koke. I could use all the help I can get actualy. More rods in the water would make a trolling show better since we can only use one rod per person.Quote:

Just like down in Cali? Two rods that sounds good to me! Slab if you need anything just give me a PM what ever you need. Like I said i will be gone the next two weeks and a few weekends scatered about that will be off limits for one reason or another, but I am up for the help, even if you just want me to watch a segment to see what I think i am there man.
i would be glad to help out in any way as well. i have been wanting to make a fishing show for a while but don't think that it will happen for a few years. i have always thought that in fisherman and angling edge were great shows and that is what i would model a show after. havin underwater footage i think is one of the best things a fishing show can have. i also heard about that rule and was lookin to see if they had passed it or not. in colorado where i ahve fished before you could pay an extra five bucks for a second rod, that way one could fish for cats and the other for bass bluegill or crappie.
If you need some bloopers (rods being stepped on), I give you permission to film me.
