I use a piece of 1 inch PVC with an end cap to place my sportbrella in and I have the PVC attached to the center part of my add-a-seat with hose clamps. Attachment 63410

Got my new seat peds in up front and it works great between the 2 in the oiginal ped hole just couldnt remember the size... need a piece of pipe bout a 1' longer..

i slid my pole all the way out and turned it over and it fit good in my seat bracket.

Mine works great like your talking bout but, I wish it was bout a foot taller so us big folk could get under it a lil easier.. plus it will help landing fish too

I have mine in a seat pedestal I got from BPS. They come in different hights

I stack seat pedestals to give mine the extra height you talkin bout.

Friends machine shop is a lot less expensive than Bass Pro. With the price of gas, you have to save every penny you can. Huh Blue!
