Well here is a Royal Brim Killer

Then here is some more with that name, but says it's a Ligon Bream Killer

If it was me I would put them on a fly hook most likely, but if a Jig head is needed I would probably use a 1/64 head or you could probably go as big as a 1/32, but got to have not bigger than a #8 regular bend hook. If you don't have either I don't know what to tell you to do. However if they called it a Brim Killer the real thing is a fly and no hackle at all. Just rubber legs, floss, Peacock Herl and a bit of Squirrel.

Yeah, those are 1/64 X #8 and I call them IndyBuggs! The bream can't get enough.

Have you ever tried flyfishing with a jig? I hit myself in the back and it was like getting shot with a bb gun, lol
LOL, how heavy was the jig? I know some fly fish with 1/64 and smaller which seems like that wouldn't be too bad, but still getting hit with it wouldn't be good.

I think it was about a 1/32 oz. I am not much of a fly caster anyway, but I will never use a jig again. If a fly hits you would hardly feel it, but a bb size piece of lead is a different story.
I buried a fly right in the middle of my back when I was a kid. I must have looked like a goofball dancing around on my parent's dock, trying to reach that @%^%^ hook!!! LOL!!
Sponge body, 6 to 10 hook tie in rubber legs.

My take on the Brim Special I posted using 1/32 jig head #8 sickle.

I think any small jig,1/32 or smaller on a size 8 or smaller in black, brown, olive, gold, orange or chartreuse are brim killers.I've caught plenty of gills with them. A deadly combo for me is brimbuster chenille in size 0 with a little coyote tail. I throw them with spinning gear and a 3wt fly rod.
nice tie len....
