You planning on going this weekend. You can borrrow mine. I live in Winston. May be too far though. I have 3 led ones from Bob#1 on here.
-
Why do you think the're on sale?
-
Makes you wonder how they got to be as big as they are.
-
I absolutely despise dicks sporting goods. Everything is marked way up, but occasionally they'll have a "sale" which is still the same price or more than anywhere else. I made a mistake of buying a lantern there only to see the exact same one for $10 less at the target next door. I returned it and got the cheaper one even though I never shop at target, made a special trip the next day since they were closing to make sure they didn't get my money. Since then I dont think I've been to one in over 2 years.
-
@ Newly.. Thanks for the offer.. I'll be fine. I have some floating ones..
Whompus! I keep getting drawn back to them simply because they are down the street.. lol...
Nat! I am pretty sure they did not know what they had and they thought they were little kids poles.

I had 48 (3 ft) Ice fishing combos at the Greensboro show; sold them all. Fishermen amaze me.
What was the price at Dick's? Maybe I should buy them all for resale in Greensboro or Raleigh this next year.

Ha! I did not check on the price.

I have a light that I will give you. I won it at the last Jordan social. It is the one that BPS sells. Nice light. Just not very bright but it does bring in the bait fish. PM me and we can meet up somewhere.
I bought 2 lights from Bob#1 on here. Great lights. Great service. Would not consider buying a light from anyone else.

I use them to shoot docks for crappie. They are short and you can really reach the hard spots under docks. Now that the weather is hot the crappie get in the shade of the docks and the ice combos work great.
-
I agree with cuz if I am holding a rod in my hand crappie fishing it a little 3 footer they handle so well. I found some shakespere combos for kids (the ones with snoopy and charlie brown on them) for 5.00 a couple years ago; threw the reels away an been using the rods ever since, luv them
-
I keep 2 in my boat for shooting docks as well with push button reels. They are excellent for accuracy.
-
Smith's Bait Tackle in Burlington had some on the counter last time I was there. I asked him why they were there and he said they were for little kids... I told him I grew up in the midwest and I knew they were ice fishing combos but if he could sell 'em for kid's combos, more power to him. Dick's may be selling them as kid's combos too. If you've never been ice fishing....
-
i have used them before to to shoot docks and sometimes i will just lay it in the boat with a minnow right in the middle of my light
