Those will fry up good
congrats, great catch. those bream are sure fun to catch!
my dad and I may be fishing houge after Memorial Day due to all the water everywhere else; is the crappie fishing good there right now?
i dont really know we were gonna try it but the wind was blowing water was white capping so we tied up 2 1 of the trees adn thats wat we got
sometimes you do what you gotta do; I have done the same thing on that lake when the wind was bad.
We used to fish hogue a lot when i went to school up there.... We would catch crappie good just drifting from the south end of the lake.. Then when it got about this time of the year we would bream fish the buckbrush on the southeast side of the lake.. We caught some redear that were over 14" out there... SOME MONSTERS
yellowjacket,
were u fishin with crickets, worms, or jigs? and about how deep were they?
Tom
This is what I caught last sunday on houge, mix cooler of slabs, bream, crackers and oneAttachment 62905 chan. cat.
what are they bitting on right now? id like to take my kids out there and let them catch a few
That sunday people were leaving the lake b/c they were not biting.....several boats on water when I got there, only 2 boats on the water when I left.
I used 2in. 1/32 and 1/16 curly tails, color really didn't make no differents.I casted, let full to bottom, dragged, hopped it back to the boat.Got hungup alot, with 10/2 braid only lost one jig.Had worms and crickets but they wasn't hurry for those.....but who knows. One day they like this or that but on another day they like that and this.Just go fishing and hope for the best and don't give up b/c they aren't biting..
dang turtle bait tahts a big black crappie
The only reason its on top is b/c it was the last fish caught,a few more down in the cooler just as big. Some of the crackers were atleast 12in. long,Its been 25 or 35 years the last I fished it.More than likely it'll be another few years before I fish it again, had to figure out what to do to catch.Had to figure out the lake and to catch them. The key is in one of the post above in catching them...you'll get hungup alot.
