Where do ya'll get the Mr.Crappie hi-vis fishing line?
I get mine at bass pro shop
Went to bass pro today to pick up some mr.crappie line and they stopped carring it. They told me they are discontinuing all wally marshall stuff at bass pro.
So, I picked up some 6 ib. p-line bright green.
Another good way to go is to order it from Vicious fishing off their website.
Monk's Crappie has better pricing. Just ordered a bunch and some other stuff from Monks.
I talked to a salesperson at Bass pro and she told me they are gonna bring mr.crappie line back with bass pro shops name on the package.I bought some pline hi vis and man you can see that stuff good. Sticks out like a sore thumb:)
Lokk on wally's web site if you can't find it just call him
The last time I was at Lake talquin Lodge there was plenty of the 6 lb Hi Vis Mr. Crappie line in stock there....So I stocked up with enough to last a few seasons!
How tough is the Mr. crappie 4 ib. test hi vis?
I buy it at a little country store near home.
What is the hi vis for trolling? I just use reg 6 lb for everything. Could i get better results with different lines for different situations (night fishing or trolling)?
I just started using hi vis. I'll let you know how it does.
The Hi Vis makes it easier for me to see my lines that are being pulled (when longlining) when I need to cast a line between two other lines. It also helps seeing trash headed to one of your lines so you can lift that rod without pulling thru the floating trash. Another thing that comes to mind...when a fish is on you can see the line a bit better and try to keep lines from getting tangled by pulling the fish away from another line.
So crappie arent shy about line? I know for stripers and other species you almost need floro to keep them from seeing the line.
If all you are going to use this P Line for is trolling it should be fine. I spooled some of my casting rods with it and took it off after one trip. This line holds too much memory and is too stiff in my opinion. I am currently using Vicious hi vis I bought from Monks Crappie on my trolling rods and have been happy. I see where Berkley is now in solar (hi vis orange). Once I use up all the Vicious line I will go to the Berkley, which is all I use on my casting rods. Berkley is a soft but strong line and is not bad for memory.
