Fishing manners
Was at "The Pond" today, only person there for 5 or 6 hours, and it's about a 2 acre pond, two guys come walking down the trail and start a conversation, one guy i had spoken to before down there, well they start talking and getting excited that a bass or two were jumping. next thing i know one guy is standing right next to where i was sitting and casting across me, in fact he had just snagged a second line of mine and reeled it in and cut the line with the hook lead and bobber, which he kept (guess he thought i didn't see that). well while standing next to me, i started steaming, kept my cool though, and looked up at him and asked if he wanted my chair ts well! I think they took the hint and moved on. I'm an easy going old fart, share my bait if you run out, give ya what ya need to keep fishing, but I ain't gonna be run over either. hate to say I let these to YoYo's ruin my peaceful day at the pond, seems ya just can't get away from Aholes, no matter how hard ya try. OK, don't know bout ya'll, but i feel better. LOL

That's a tough one totumpole....but you DEFINITELY handled it better than I woulda.:o
-
Well they were all tatted up, very secluded place and i wasn't armed. which may or may not have been a good thing, I'm 65, retired Mil. 2 heart ops, diabetes, etc. If I was 1/4 the man I was 10 years ago when I was putting up fence to help out my brother in law's business with my 28 year old co-worker, oh well we all get old.

It was a good choice you made totumpole.;)

Some folks just ain't got any sense or they are just buttheads. you did the right thing. So what did you end up with. Fish that is?
-
Nada, Zip, Zero, Zilch. Sure was peaceful for a while, heck, be nice to catch a whopper, but it ain't that important some days. :-)
-
Well Totempole, we know ya coulda took em in fine Military style and that is all that matters. Hope your next trip is more peacefull.
-
Naw, them days are over, I can bearly beat two eggs for an omlette! :-)
-
If they are like the tatted up punks down here, their brains are probably scrambled more than an omelet.

You handled the situation well. There will always be idiots, patience is the rule, court costs are expensive.
I too enjoy the beauty of the lake, when the idiots move in, I change areas. Yesterday morning on Talquin, the fog was so thick that my glasses were coated with water droplets. Couldn't see 20 feet in front of me. Had my map on my 997 and was able to idle out about 300 yds to a spot that I wanted to fish. After about 20 min. I heard a boat coming, wide open. How he kept from hitting a stump or one of boats, he must have had radar.:D
Glad he made it his hole safetly. Another high powered bass fisherman made it.
