That looks like a fine mess of crappie. I'm coming up to Murfreesboro for a couple of day around the 16th of June. My wife wants to dig for diamonds. Go figure!!!! I,on the other hand, am debating on whether to bring my boat to fish in Greers for crappie or my fly rod to fish for trout in Little Missouri. Any posts that will help me make up my mind will be appreciated. Thanks.
goodjob and report and nice pics stay after them creekslick
Thumbs Up i had hoped to fish today,1st off day since the 6th an i gotta go mow the duckcamp, maybe friday:rolleyes:...are they on tops?
I caught these in suspended over the flooded pole timber.
Way to go creek!!! Might have to make the trip this weekend from J-Town and check it out.
What part of the lake?
nice mess of fish.
nice catch. what is a bandit 300?
Good mess!!! Sure would be fun to learn how to run those cranks!!! heard it can very rewarding!!
Go to BanditLures.com check out the 200,300 series.
I may give it try in the morning around five fingers
Do you use electronics, or just sling em out and take off?
Do you have tops? Or are they just in schools?
I use electronics and line counter reels. I catch them the same place pre and post spawn.
Everything that you would ever want to know about pulling crankbaits can be found in this thread....... http://www.crappie.com/crappie/missi...nks-101-a.html
Wayne,
I rained 5 inches at my house last night. How much rain did y'all get at Greers, and did it muddy up the lake?
I would fish the upper third of the lake if I had that choice. Bigger fish and more of 'em. Thanks to Jerry and many others, the brushpiles are numerous and the crappie are plentiful. Bring a loaf or two of sourdough bread and you can do some loaves and fishes on the bank for you and your wife, over a good campfire. By the time you come in from the trip, she will be tired and muddy and ready for some good eatin'! :) <><

Blair we got 4 1/2" here last night. I crossed the Edgemont Bridge this morning and the lake still looks ok here but I don't know about the creek arms. I am planning on trying them later this afternoon.
Lake is not muddy yet but a buddy told me he went up Devil's Fork and it was muddy past Frontier Canyon. I went up Middle Fork to the island and it was stained but not muddy. Caught 9 keeper crappie and 2 nice walleye.
Nice mess Creek...
Turned out I had to work this weekend anyway, but thanks.
nice going creekslick, looks like you wont be needing glasses for awhile, nice catch
it's better than crappie by a long shot but way over rated too. i've caught a bunch of them at norfork lake.
Speaking of Norfork...Im heading up there july 7,8, and 9th...Gonna try to catch my first trout on one of the rivers (Staying at the White Buffalo Resort). May even try to catch my first Walleye...and of course gonna do some crappie fishn
hawg, if you are interested in going with a trout guide i can put you on one. he be up near cotter not far from where you'll be.
Thanks but we are just gonna try it where we are staying. Been reading up on it alot. I appreciate the offer and may do that next time. We have a "crappie guide" set up for one day on Norfork. The other days we are just gonna do a 'lil wading around the cabin and see if we can catch a trout. Thanks again!!
Nice mess Creek... Just got back from a week at Old Highway 25. Half the park is shut down from flooding. It just got worse after all the rain on Friday.
Nice catch creek. I caught my 1st walleye in your lake last weekend. The wind was tuff but I had a great time.
Good job Wayne, been out of town for work, back now and thinking about dusting off some of those bandits 300's.
