yeah and we're gonna swim with the fishes LOL Maybe the water will be down by then.
Anybody have a date for the fall camp?
We will have to have a little meeting with Wiskers and the other crappie gurus after everything kind of settles down. Right now with the flooding and every one being kind of stressed out with everything it will be hard to figure anything out. I know Terry has his hands full right now! I do think the further out we can set a date it will be easier to make plans and as soon as things get kind of normal we can get something together! We had a blast last year and can't wait for another chance to see everyone !!
Right now the way my schedual plays out it will have to be sometime in late Sept. There is however some talk that she may leave the camp ground open into Nov. a couple of weeks. Problem with that is Deer season always starts the 2nd Sat of Nov. I'm open to anything in late Sept. Could be hot & fish'n may not be as good. Late Nov. would be great if it wasn't for the unpredictable weather.
Change it to May and we can have bluegill camp instead. You can still pick up a few crappie also. I agree that Sept. and Oct. are usually not very good months. We could do it when whiskers gets home and we could help him clean up and get everything back to normal so we can let the BS fly again! This time we are going green and are gonna use eco-friendly BS that is bio-degradeable so that the next time it floods, it won't float around the camp.
How about Sep. 23,24 and 25. That way it will not interfere with any hunting schedules. May be a little warm but a couple jars of water will cool everything down! It's more of a get together anyway. Fishing may suck but that seems normal anymore!
I like Sixfin's idea. In May at least you'd be able to be catching something other than sarcasm and bs around whiskers camper. If the water is too high we could all move over to sixfin's place and set up in his yard. Sure his wife will not mind. Maybe we could see about even getting a live band to play or something. I see lots of potential with the idea.
Bring It On! Although my rates for camper space are little higher than Big Bears, I am way more lenient on my rules.
I don't have a problem with May either. I had planned on doing some Bluegill fishing while I was home anyway.
It may take a few days to get the campground back in order though after this flood. I just got off the phone with them & its lookn like atleast a week or 2 for all the sites to be back open. Timing depends on the lake.
I get off on the 12th & Brenda (my lovely wife) goes on vaca. on the 14th. We are having a little party for her the evening of the 14th. Hopefully I can get moved back in by then. We want to sped her wacation at the camp ground.
I have to go to a CPR class on the 17th & some more training on the 23rd, 24th, & 25th. I go back to the boat June 9th.
A man should be able to catch about anything he fishes for between now & then.
"A man should be able to catch about anything he fishes for between now & then."
That would be true for most, but I have trouble catching a rock tied to my line! However I'll keep trying.
I'll third the bluegill suggestion. I can actually catch those most of the time. :D
