Registration for the Conway tourney will be at bates field and stream right off the mayflower exit between 6 and 6:45 am.
Other tourney information can and will be discussed after the weigh in which will be at bates field and stream as well.
Everyone is invited and a good time will be had by all. With the current levels of water around the rivers right now, lake conway will offer some hood fishing!
I will be there fishing with my son. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
And yes, I will be there........lol.
99.8% sure I'll be there
Good job Coleman! Will be nice to see you again.......
I'll try to make it in for the weigh in. I hate to miss first one, but maybe can get down and meet everyone
Don't know Conway, how big a boat can you use on it.
I'm in like swim wear.
Conway is a fairly shallow lake (averages about 6 foot deep). Boat channels are not channels but somewhat clean trails. However, I would not get on pad if you dont know the lake.
Great fishing is available within 100 yards from any ramp just about and PLENTY of structure to fish.
We fish it from a 18 foot Express and I see plenty of 19 and 20 footers out there. However, if you have a good aluminum boat under 18 foot, it would be recommended.
During the Crappie masters tournament, Capps and Coleman launched their 22 footer out there and fished so anything is possible.
Never fished Conway, do most people troll or jig it? Are there a lot of stumps in the lake? I've heard it has a lot of big crappie. Do they catch 3 pounders out of Conway every year?
I saw a 3 pounder caught there last spring. It is full on stumps. Most probably jig it but I am no expert on it.
Call it a wash!?!
If I dont have to work Ill be there
I run a eighteen foot stratos with a 150 johnson on it, i have no problem getting on pad. If you cant get it on pad then something is wrong with your rig. If you have a big boat, then on pad is the safest place for it to be when you are getting from point a to point b. Idle speeds will cause more damage if there is damage to be caused. I have been on Conway my whole life so its a cake walk to run lake conway. I highly recommend the unexperienced not to attempt it. Conway can be brutal to a newbie on the lake. Conway will eat trolling motors and props for snacks and make Lower units the main course.
What's the chances of this being postponed with all the water?
Conway is over 89 bridge this morning and rising. 89 South from the freeway has been closed today.
How many boats were tore up the first crappie masters on Conway? 7 I think..? All running wide open..... They stated "But I was in the trail"
I run fast across the lake... The Faster you go, the harder you hit... The more damage, You cause. I am on that lake more than anyone... I travel every trail regularly.. Still I hit stumps, I don't care.... I have plenty of spare parts...
Slab, I think I launched right before you at Lowarance Landing a couple of weeks ago..?
I hope when I get my Hobie Kayak up on pad I don't hit a stump. Might tear my flipper.Rofl
