Crappie.com is constantly refreshing on my computer, no other website I go to is doing this. Is it just me or is something wierd going on with the website?
When I'm on .com the last couple of days the screen is refreshing nonstop, literally every second. It doesn't matter what forum I'm in, it is actually doing it right now as I type this reply. It doesn't happen on any other website though, I don't get it
not mine either
Fine here.
sounds like YOU have a problem! :)
I have one with the classifieds board.... I can see the individual post titles but when I click on ANY of them I only get a blank white screen. Even if you guys post one here on the off topic, I can't see it once I click on it!!!!
Clean your cookies out. That should help
Nothing going on here.
Mine is fine, no problem but does run slow sometimes.
i'm on a puter at fedex , and it's doing it constanty also, so it ant your's
I think mine is a little off too......I swear DD's nipples are winking faster at me today.
Wannabe...
that's just nasty!!!!
Mine always does it that way on here and only on here, no other forum i go to.
Mine seems to be doing fine
yep, mine keeps refreshing too.
I will give Slab a heads up
Thanks G. Glad I'm not crazy :) BTW, I did go in and delete all of my cookies and internet history, have rebooted several times also and still having the same issue.
I'm not having that problem, but I will run a scan for issues via some Google tools that are available. You never know.
And when you all say refreshing, you mean just like hitting the refresh button on the browser? Maybe try to help me understand what you mean by "refreshing", it might help me diagnose this issue. Also tell me which browser you are using. It might be browser specific. I'm on Firefox and have no issue. I also have an Opera window open on crappie.com and also no issues.
Thanks for your help.
Well, crappie.com passed the google test, which is a pretty good test.
Google has not detected any malware on this site.
I am runnin Internet Explorer with no problems.
slab, im in IE, and in the stataus bar on the bottom, every few seconds it says waiting for web site, like its opening a page, and then done. keeps repeating every few seconds.
When I open a page mine loads about 5 or 6 times before stopping. The page is up but it is going wild down at the bottom of the screen as if if is loading and reloading. This is the only site it happens on and it started at least a month ago.
I am running Google Chrome and not having any problems.
Mine seems to do something similar BEFORE I LOG IN. After I log in it is fine. I'm guessing it has something to do with the adds
I'm in IE with no issues other than not being able to view the classifieds on CDC
+1, exactly. Oddly I don't think the page is actually refreshing either but my mouse pointer won't work to click on a thread until I let it finish that sequence, I usually have about 1 second to click on something I want to open before it does that refresh sequence again. As I said earlier, it happens on every Crappie.com screen (and no other websites), it is happening as I type this.
Slab - DH and I are both on Internet Explorer, dou you think this could be an IE issue? I googled it and nothing came up, I also can't find anything in the IE settings pertaining to refresh rate.
I was on IE v7 and just downloaded v8, the problem seems to be gone now for me :)
I am on IE and no problems
I understand it might be one of the ads. If anyone can identify the ad, I can remove it forever. Thanks to shuorc for point it out. I turned on the ads for me to try to help identify it. I had turned them off for myself only because I was was out of Internet range trying to get any sort of signal while on my Southern tour last week.
Not at my comp, will check it out tomorrow and let you know if I find anything....thanks slab.
Since I'm a CDC supporter I don't get the ads....... YAHOO! :)
It was the Facebook "Like" button. This is the second time that darn thing cause problems on our site. It's all Facebooks fault, you'd think they would know what they were doing with all their money.
Anyway, I removed the Facebook "Like", for good. No-one should have any more problems like this.
thanks, slab, its ok now.
