Hello gentlemen, I was thinking about a trip this summer to Arkansas for some fishing. Can you fellas recommend some rental cabins on a lake with a landing? I will bring my wife and two labs along as well. I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Any idea which part of Arkansas you wanna go to?
Middle to the southern portion. Thanks.

Self Creek Marina on Lake Greeson. Don't forget to check Jerry Blake out at ActionFishingtrips.com
Or Ironton Mountain on Lake DeGray.

Tracker,
You may want to call this place and get maps. Lake Dardenelle State Park. It is couple of miles out of Russellville( mm 81 on I 40 ). I have camped there many times and they have a few cabins. Seems like 100.00 night.Ph# 479-967-5516 is camping. I think the marina runs the cabins, but this a nice lake
Lake chicot state park has some good cabins
If you want a good time just catching fish, you might want to try the white river up around norfork,ar trout fishing (won't eat them) but fun to catch and lots of cabins and the country is somthing else and if it's 99 degrees outside, on the river it's nice and cool. great family trips. Water stays about 42 and there is a big lake five minutes from the river if you want to try your luck there (Norfork lake known for big stripers)
My wife and I stayed a week on Lake Norfork last year at The Fish and Fiddle resort. Nice cabins at a reasonable price and even a slip at their private dock for my boat. We had a great time! It's just east of Mountain Home though not exactly central or southern Arkansas.
Heard Lake Catherine State Park just opened some new cabins. $75.00 per night.
Tough to snag a cabin on Catherine. Those are generally booked at least a year out. Nice place though. Certainly wouldn't hurt to call. There's always Ouachita.
Thanks guys. I've seen some pictures of some BIG stripers caught in Quachita - are they common? Nothing like that down here in South Louisiana. Might look into that. Thanks again.
Are you kiddin'? Caught a couple before work this morning.Rofl Seriously, there are some really good stiper guides on Ouachita. Might be a worthwhile investment if you want to get into 'em because it's a big lake. Also, if you do end up there just be advised it sees heavy recreational traffic including lots of houseboats, jet skis, skiers, etc. and can be quite choppy on weekends. There's plenty of space for everyone and lots of coves to duck into, just wanted you to be aware. Rather light a candle than curse your darkness.
X2! If you like trout fishing, the Norfork and White rivers can't be beat! We stay at Charlie's Rainbow Trout Resort on the Norfork. They rent boats and motors also, as do most of the other resorts. Kitchens, etc., are included also. Rates run around $100/day. Welcome to Charlie's Rainbow Trout Resort. Many others are available, but I'm familiar with this one.
Everyone keeps bringing up the White, which is by far my favorite trout stream, but it's nowhere near southern or central Arkansas. If you did want to catch some little pink fish as a bonus you could go to either Little Mo/Greeson or Little Red/Greers Ferry. Little Mo/Greeson would be closer.
Swaha Marina on Lake Greeson rents cabins and it is very close to the tailwaters stocked with trout on the Little MO. They also do rentals, ski boats, jet skis and pontoon boats. The Crater of Diamonds State park is located nearby and I saw on the news today that someone found a 3.8 carrot diamond there today.
