Caught these late Monday evening with a couple buddies. Didn't catch many, but these two are nice. The one on the right went about 17 inches. Don't know how much he weighed though. That's right I said "He" I'd like to catch his ole lady friend too.

Wish some of these guys could weigh my fish . My son and I fished 3-17-06 and caught a string that actually weighted 52 lbs. I weigh my fish (crappie)and we laugh at all these guesstimates.;) We caught ours on jigs and flipped them to shallow points. I fished too much for bass and fish crappie using same methods at times.Quote:

If you do not know the lake then be careful!!!!! I hit stumps using my trolling motor mounted on the front of my john boat. You can get in the channel and run but you need to find it first!!!
how deep is the water? Are there are large crappie and bass in the lake?
I used to fish there sometimes in a bass boat ! We ran wide open down the channels. But you better know where your going and watch out for floating logs. When I night fished with Leo Coffman we still ran the channels in the dark ! The old trees are rotted off at water level outside of the channels . Be extremely careful on Conway anytime .Quote:

You can email the AGFC at [email protected] and tell them you want a free lake map kit and they will send you good information on managed lakes, like conway, with depths and forage and all that good stuff.
