Just a little disappointed in it. Got it at Christmas and attempted to use it twice. Both times switched back to the old knife. Blades seem to be dull or knife runs at a low RPM. Anyone have an opinion on these?

Yeah got one to......pretty much same issue...get so hot you can't hold it....Bought me a mr. twister and love it (compared to the berkley anyway)
x2.....picked one up last summer......I thought it was just me. The knife blades are to slow, like it is under powered. May look for a mr. twister.
I have had an American Angler electric fillet knife for years and use it alot during the summer. I would definately buy another one if this one gives out on me.
Glad yall brought this up.. I was thinkin about buyin one and have changed my my mind very quickly!!!!!!!!
Use 10 dollar black and decker can not go wrong by 2 at time and they clean a lot of fish before they give up and when they do I just chunk only thing I do is use seperate blades for cleaning catfish and crappie one pass through a cat will really mess up a sharp set of blades for ever.
Mr. Twister all the way, with the long blades for them Hawgs!
Most knives have curved blades especially the American Angler (better for carving turkeys not cleaning fish)
I have a 12 volt and a 110. Have had them for years, cleaned alot of fish withem. To me you cant go wrong with the american angler fillet knifes.
Have only used the Mr. Twisters but havent had any problems other than it is getting really dusty from lack of use.
Just bought and RETURNED a Berkly 12v knife, it was under powered, a pile of #$%&*.
i've had a berkley for a couple years, has worked OK....but i agree 100% that it is underpowered. gonna try the mr. twister next time
It's hard to find American Angler. I found one about a year ago, and it's a good'un.
I've had a mr twister for years and wear out 2 or 3 sets of blades each year. It's been a good one. Of course Walmart quit selling them and went to Berkley. I think sports academy still has them, think I'll buy another one for back up, mine is probably 15 years old.
I have a rapella that I like.. can use ac and dc.Came with 2 sets of blades.. Seemed like it was a little pricey but works great!
X2 on the rapalla. I have had one for about 6 years now and cleaned alot of crappie and cats with it. It has held up well
x3. Rapala seems to be a good knife, but if and when it goes out I plan to try the Mr.Twister.
If you can buy it at Walmart you can almost bet it's junk.... My American Angler has held up for about four years and still going strong.
