Welcome aboard
if youre looking to save some money you can make your own. i made mine w/ 3/8 rods,3/8 rod couplings welded in a T, & 3/8 wall brackets,& 3/8 nuts. if you like you can PM me & ill send you some pics of what ive done w/ my boat.best of luck w/ your spider rigging
finally got my act together and bought a pair of hi-teks. love rigging 6-8 poles.
I like Driftmasters. I like being able to adjust the angle of the holder. Are the Hi-Tek's adjustable in case your rod tip is too close or too far from the water?
I recommend the T-250-H Trolling bars from Driftmaster. I guide and I have used them ever since they were made. I have gotten many great comments on them from clients also. I say this because I really do love them and I also sell them. Check them out at Extreme Fishing Concepts There is a sale going on with no shipping on orders over $100.

You could point your rods straight up, straight down, backwards, or any other position in between--mix or match rod angles if you want. The T-bar is round, so you can elevate/rotate 360* by loosening the bolts under the holders you want to reposition. While these bolts are loose, you also have 360* horizontal panning adjustment. The single bolt in the center of the T-bar (where my wrench is shown) allows you to rotate the entire bar 360*. When I set the bolts on the loose side, I can make minor adjustments by hand. When I tighten them firmly, my rods break before the adjustment slips. And yes, I've broken 3 that way. One line got hung up in the motor, another wrapped up on a log or stump, and the third rod was angled too low & nose-dived when I was running at full TM speed.
Plus Hitech's don't rust.
I used them fishing with corker and liked them so much I sold my drift masters and bought the hi-tech's.
After having used both the Driftmaster's and the Hi-Tech's I would buy the Hi-Tech's if I was in the market.
Both are good quality products and you really cannot go wrong with either one.
To me the Hi-Techs are a little more versatile and much easier to remove my long poles from with a fish on the line. They can be easily removed for storage and switched between boats. Real handy if your fishing partners are set up the same.
For now I'll have to stick with my homemade system that I made almost 10 years ago. As long as it don't break I'll keep on using it.
I have used both, there is a set of Hi-tecs in my trunk waiting to be installed on the front of my boat!
