Hartwell 3/21

Got the chance to sneak out on the lake after work in search of a few more fish. That's just what I found, a few more. Fished for about two hours and landed four fish on minnow tipped jigs. All fish were hanging around shallow cover round 8 ft deep. Tried to locate em headed to the banks with no luck. Water in 6&20 creek is still very stained and full of trash with the temp at 63. They seem to be scattered around with no consistency. If anyone is planning on fishing the well this week be warned that the FLW tour is on Hartwell this weekend, I saw several of them pre fishin tonite. Good luck to all.

Thanks for the report and the heads up about FLW Thumbs Up Now is a good time to stay away from the Well...

That is for sure. I put in at Brown Road and fished the back of the creek and was really surprised to see them all the way back up in there. I guess when there is money on the line, you'll take a $40,000 boat about anywhere!

Glad you kept the skunk out of the boat. Hadn't thought about what Stump Hunter said, but I bet that big Ole moon may have kept the fish pushed out a little bit. Looks like a LOT of wind rest of week. I won't get to fish again until next week as my Saturday is going to be taken up cooking a low-country boil for a couple hundred folks. Hope you get back out with luck.

Getting in a few hours on the lake is pretty nice anytime.;) Glad you caught a few to keep the skunk out of the boat. Thanks for the report and heads up about the FLW. Any idea about where the weigh-ins are going to be held and the times?

I know the weigh ins are in Greenville, I'm not sure what time they are going to be. I think it's posted on the FLW website.

Thanks for the report RR. I was going to Hartwell after work yesterday, but the wind kept me away. Glad you caught a few.

Good report. And yall can keep that FLW over there .They was on Wylie last weekend .
