Not one soggy cricket? Everyone out chasing crappie? ;)
Haven't fished since January -- too busy at work.
i would but cant boats in the shop
Water temps here ranges from high 50's to mid 60's...might try one or two of the smaller lakes this weekend for some big gills. Any suggestions or advice on where they might be hangin' out? I just don't feel like fighting the crappie-spawn crowds yet.
Probably the opposite, everyone's fishing so they're not talking on here. :D
Here's one I caught on the 3rd this month, but not on a cricket . gillchaser http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...1/bluegill.jpg

Ihaven't been out since Feb 24 and that was on the ice.The lakes and ponds are starting to open up now,I might get out tomorrow or Sunday.
yeah we been catching a few while crappie fishing but did clean five nice red ear today. water is starting to warm up, won't be long and we will be gill fishing alot.
I was thinking about getting some cricket tomorrow, and giving them a shot. They were bedded up in a pond where the wife was taking her conceal carry class today. That is what got me to thinking about them. This is my first year of fishing with a boat, so I look forward to the new lakes I can fish, not to mention the Red River.
I went yesterday on Tellico, was windy, was drift fishing and the wind was pushin' me at .8-1.0 mph at times. Spent more time trying to stay on the fish rather than fishin', only caught one dink and 1 keeper. Everybody was trolling and looked like a WM parking lot at XMAS time, everybody was crossing over in front or behind of everybody else, but no tangles.
All my favorite bream holes have the Mississippi River in 'em. I'm dying here, wanting to feel the thump!
