My wife and I stopped in at the Santa Fe Lake Slabfest today and we had a wonderful time. It was a pleasure meeting everyone and putting a face to many of the members names, including:

and many many more. These are all that I could think of. I apologize for all those I missed.

Can't say enough about what a great time Susan and I had at the Santa Fe Slabfest. Thanks to Jeff and Dawn for all your hard work putting it together and thanks to Slab (Ed) and his wife for taking time out of their schedule to join us. The fishing was great with some of the heaviest weights I've seen this year, the food was outstanding, as usual, and we left with memories that will remain with us for many years to come.

What a great outing it was a pleasure to meet everyone. The food was fantastic. and we got to meet the Big kahona (Ed/slab) and his lovely wife. Thanks to all. looking foward to the next fest. Can we please look at flslabhunter1's scedule and make sure he's got a game the day of the next local event. LOL. I don't think we would have had a chance if he and chad were there.
Really had a great time again. Yes, thanks Dawn and Susan. It was a pleasure meeting you all as well. The food was awesome. I usually do not like Hush Puppies, but the ones we had there at the fish fry were great. I could not stop eating them. Oh, the fish was great too.
Oh I knew I forgot some people, but how could I forget Southern Young Gun, especially with that quantity of monster Crappie you had caught. I added you to the list in that first post.
It was a good time, maybe next time I'll come down with my boat and do some fishing too.
Oh, my wife Sharon did a "Personal Best" time in the Half Marathon she ran in today, the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon.
Pontiac and anyone else....your are welcome to camp at our property. We have two barns that you can pull your rig under or whatever you have. We have electric, water, and a full bathroom with a (COLD) shower in one of the barns. It's not a resort, but it's better than some I've stayed at. We're located about 8 to 10 miles from the Harris chain (according to which lake you fish) and about 14 miles from Lake Monroe. You will have to put up with some roosters crowing along with the country smells associated with cows and goats, but it's all FREE! We'd love to have you!Quote:

the "slab fest" looks like it was a success. guess its a good thing i did not come as i burned up my motor yesterday. looking for a good used 100 horse or so, pm me if you know where one might be. i had a 115 evinrude on that 20 foot basstracker pontoon (yes i know thats oversized for the boat)
