I use a damp rag and then a dry rag, like you dont want to use any thing abrasive. it works ok for me
I think there was a post on here talking about using the Windex with Vinegar for the screens, cant seem to find the post but will keep lookin for it and post a link if I find. Im sure there are many different opinions as to what to use but like beagle man said, for sure nothing with abrasives in it
m
call the company and ask.
I've been using 50/50 mixThumbs Up of water and windshield washer fluid. Seems ta be doin de job! Carry it wid me and a soft cloth. Just can't seem ta keep my fingers off pointin on itHands ClappingHands Clapping<*)}}}><

Yep Windex with vinegar applied liberally and wipe from the top down with a microfiber cloth so any dirt or debris won't come back down from the top. You can buy large cleaning clothes at Wal-Mart optical centers.
A glass of water with a lttle bit of rubbing alcohol mixed in. Saturate a soft lint free cloth with it, ring out and wipe. It does a fantastic job.
Yes Follow the Frogger 's advice, or you can use the purple jazz stuff, Sparkle is its name, And for Goodness Sake Do NOT use anything that contains alcohol or Ammonia you will soften the screen material causing scratches to develop. Many many people always used Sparkle with no problems and finally bout 2-3 years ago Humminbird officially endorsed "Windex with Vinegar". Most Windshield washer contains alcohol that's a NO-NO............Sorry. Its $300 or $350 flat rate charge if you have to send it in to replace screen plus shipping to them........its your money;);)
I use the vinegar spray also.
Another thing I heard: If you have calcium spots on the screen (where water drops dried up), spray the vinegar on and let it sit for a minute before you wipe it off. Basically, the vinegar will dissolve the calcium, if you wipe it before that happens you might scratch the screen.
I spray windex on a paper towel then wipe the screen clean, may not be the right way but it works for me.
Gotta watch paper towels; some of them have larger wood fibers and can be abrasive on plastics.
just plain ol water and a soft dry towel, no paper towels for me
Last fall me and my brother fished with Richard Williams. We asked him the same question. He turned us on to a product called "KRYSTAL VISION" This stuff was designed specifically for electronic screens. It's also used for Gun scopes and Binoculers. We bought some and I can tell you. This stuff is simply Amazing. Thanks WEEZER.
I bought an mac note book screen protecter 15 inch and made screen protecters for a 977HB si,585Hb,565HB,525HB,garmin72 hand held GPS and a garmin 76CXS GPS and still have enough left over for a few more GPS covers or small screen fish finder. It all so has anti-glare which makes it easy to see in bright sun light. Its made for the note book computers it suppose to be 100% UV the only one at the time two years ago that could clame that. Its been on my graphs for two years and its great so far.
