best price on a PowerDrive V2 70/US2/i-Pilot, 60", 70 LB? found it for 1,099.99
is there a solar charger that will help me get any more time out of the batts trolling cranks?
or Terrova 55/US2 54-Inch Trolling Motor w/ iPilot for $1196.13
It's a no-brainer, get the Terrova.
Why ? Have never used one we have a powerdrive on our pontoon and I like it and the foot control.
Terrova. Can't use I-Pilot remote and foot control at same time with V2. Terrova is more responsive and finer on steering and Terrova has additional settings for power.
Solar chargers are crap. If you really need to extend run time, install a charge on the go alternator charging system. Expensive, confusing but the best game in town.

Do explain this charge on the go is that where when your cranking batt is full it switches to charge the trolling batt?
Yep, takes excess current from your alternator and puts it to the Trolling batt/s. Minn Kota has one I'd look at.

What's the best price and where for the tarrova
Terrova
The best price I could find was @ Anchor Express
Is that place cheaper than $1,196.13 shipped ?
How much longer is it gonna take to charge my batt if I put a second on my charger is a 30amp two bank 15amp per bank. Takes about an hour and a half to fully charge my trolling batt now.
100% more battery, same current = 100% more charge time.....that'd be 3.0 Hours by new math.
Give crappiehotspot.com a shot on that Terrova. Ricky said he can beat most folks on 'em.

Thanks WB but I thank you ment
Don't know why it just posted in the middle of me typing but I thank you meant thecrappiehotspot.com and I did e-mail him.
My on board charger is a dual pro and I am VERY HAPPY with it so I thank I might go with the dual pro charge on the run but I can't find any reviews on it got any suggestions ?
Dont have any online reviews per se but the boys on bass boat central seem pretty happy wi them from what I've read. U might pop in over there and do a little searching and reading.

Thanks WB I will give that a look.
Blue, If you need a new ob charger, I have a brand new, never opened MK 345D for sale.
Thanks crappi but mine is fine I was talking about the charge on the run unit so I could troll cranks with my trolling motor for longer.
Do I want a 45" shaft or 60" on the terrova I'm am ordering?
I got a 60 on mine but I run a 17.5 foot deep vee
45" will be more than enough on your boat. One catch is, if you're by yourself pulling cranks in the back in good chop, you may cavitate. 2nd catch is, if you go with 60" to avoid that, you'll have a bunch of motor left over when you're spider rigging or single poling.
Me...on your boat..I'd go with 45 and forget about it.

MAJ what is yours.
Ok done I am getting the 80lbs gonna put the other batt in the rod locker 45" shaft us2 and I-pilot.
This sound right so I can get the dang thang on by the 5th?
Yep. Question. How long is your Trolling Motor now? And do you have any cavitation problems now? What if somebody is on the back deck? If it's shorter than 45 and the answer is no....get with it. If cav. is a problem, then you can get the 60". Not a big deal to cut it down at a later point though.

I don't know how long the one on the boat is it's the one that came with it but have had on problems with it. How hard is it to cut the shaft down?
I am just gonna get the 50" I have never run the trolling motor with two on the back so that way I know I ant gonna have any problems.
Sry 60"
Not hard at all. One catch is that you'll need to have an ASC do it in order to keep from voiding the warranty. Think Feelay said Grizzly did his for like $50. Up there, I'm sure you can have it done at an ASC for about the same $ and not have to drive up to Grizzly. Still, might be a good excuse and it's only about 1.5 hrs from ya.
If you're not gonna pull a lot of cranks standing on the back deck, 45" should do you fine though. If I'm bad wrong, you can always get a longer shaft later for about $150 installed. Heck, this is your money we're talking about, so we might as well spend it.
I know I'm jerkin' you back and forth, but I imagine on your boat if I was standing on the back deck, the tip of your boat would raise up about 6". Add in chop and that motor would be coming up a foot or more. To combat that, you could fill a forward livewell if you've got one or move some weight up front (that battery will come in handy here).
All that said, measure yours bottom of head to center of prop shaft.. If it's in the range of 45, order your 45" Terrova and keep on trucking.

Think 54" is the next shaft size BTW.
Wannabe...
54" is what I have, works good for me.
I ordered the 60" to be safe I can all ways bring it up some if I order it to long but can't go down if I order it to short the reason I am getting it is to pull cranks.
I didn't find one G.
U done good. Easier to cut it off than to replace the shaft down the road.
Now...that's it, you got your limit of questions answered. Next one is 50 bucks.
Wannabe...
Go ahead and pay up Blue.....it does not matter that I used all the answers too......whoooooohooooo its almost as good as a free boofay.Rofl
How can I hook my two bank charger up if I am gonna be running my trolling at 24v am I gonna have to change it to 12v b4 I plug the charger in?
